just use the 30fps lock option, that's why it's there?!

I am literally crying inside.

Heart burn?

More the fact of the acceptance of consumers paying £299.99 for a console in 2014 and applying that 30 fps lock option.

Let me guess your one of the elite PC gamers who only come on console threads to troll, even though PC misses out on the majority of AAA releases these days...

Why are you getting upset over my comment? I stated a point, Do you think 30 fps on a next gen console in 2014 is acceptable? No need to throw around the insults,

So is 30 FPS acceptable on a next gen console?

While I don't care one bit for PS4 (or Xbox One) there's no denying this is a very attractive price point for Sony's console so... Heat given.

But.....just imagine what you could build for £299......and they're off (_;)

Given the recent shock revelation that TLoU: Remastered is to feature a locked 30fps option and thus will very likely otherwise suffer from juddering and possible screen tearing too it should now make your stated resistance that little bit easier. :)

If it will 'suffer from juddering and possible screen tearing' and you're worried about that, just use the 30fps lock option, that's why it's there?!
The game is more about the gameplay if anything.

I think that's silly too. But if it were on PC, you'd need to spend a lot of money on it in order to run it at a smooth 60fps too. Double the amount a PS4 costs, so it works both ways (don't have a PS4 yet, but do have a gaming PC)

I guess we'll find out what it's actually like soon enough. Either way, it's not genuinely a sole reason for me to buy a PS4. I will wait for A LOT more good exclusives before I join the club.

i only bought mine for ps plus games, but they have been a bit meh and for the last year have been playing my Wii U and dark souls/demons souls.

I hope some actual new games come in the latter half of the year which use the hardware. i would hold off until christmas as I am sure there will be great bundurus.

Limited to two purchases per customer, aww the poor profiteers will be sad.

no real profits any more for ps4 (and any that are profits are not as easy as going to cex)

everyone has stock now and the avg price is about £315 for console cost (after counting the bundled games some of the £330 - £340 come with)

--

and still cheaper at very £349 - £30 first time customers 9or even the 10% off code better still) £319 / £314 (down to a pre vat number of £255 / £251 this is for the cash back work out) 9% cashback from quidco on all sales for new customers, £22 in cashback total so £297 / £293 , tho very *and the other 4 very sites* has been this total price for months before they sold out and cex was offering more than RRP that was the profit game for over £1600 on 10 of them

i didnt say alot cheaper, very and sites like it are fine tho only if paid off right away (tho i know a lot of people dislike them anyways)

PC owner, don't own a next gen console, but even I have to admit that console AAA exclusives are far better than our PC exclusives. What I would give to play Red Dead, Uncharted, Halo, Destiny etc

See comment #24. It's just a case of PS3 'purists' wanting the option of 30fps (worried about the 'TV show' effect of 60fps maybe?).

ND are hardly gonna come out and say, we put the 30fps lock in because we couldnt get the game to run at a solid 60fps. I really hope what they say is true and not spin, but will remain sceptical in the meantime

Indeed we will, regardless of how naive some other people are in swallowing the PR of the Naughty Dog.

My comment was naturally only ever intended to humour the light-hearted nature of your initial post. :)

Should TLoU: Remastered be a disappointment objectively speaking then, as you quite rightly say, it's only one game and it's only a cash-in update of a last-gen game at that... albeit that I'd be concerned were I a PS4 owner at this increasing trend for games running at a substandard 30fps. The fanboys can and will try spinning it any which way they can but it is what it is.

In case some misguided soul takes me as hating on consoles in general then that's not the case. Wii U has a growing number of superb quality games and PS4 has great potential as long as its game devs are realistic in their ambition. The less said about Xbox One the better though!

I think if they did have trouble consistently running it at 60fps they would have made the 30fps mandatory though. I doubt they'd want people to see a failure to make the most out of the hardware.
