I think the remaining people who haven't purchased one yet are waiting for a hefty price drop to around £250. It's worth waiting until E3 at the very least at this point before purchasing this or PSVR.

over 60 million plus ps4 sold so price reduction is unlikely , might just be handing out free games with every purchase during the holidays or a little discount to counter scorpio.

Completely agree, however it is very likely to drop in price before the holiday season/ scorpio release, they did it when the switch was released and also bundled games and offered a free controller. Remember we all got that 'deal' from tesco direct? Y'know the one with the game that resembles Zelda? Horizon... anyway Sony used the biggest chains to shift more consoles.

btw to tired for grammar check etc

if microsoft go aggressive with the pricing of scorpio then maybe sony will do the same with the ps4 pro and slim and with the marketing deals with destiny, red dead and cod. bundles will be done for gd prices but with the amount of console sold it might just be buy a ps4 pro an slim and get a game free

I couldn't hold out for E3. I bought a new sealed one from eBay for £300... no games ... I am keeping my fingers crossed that E3 announcements do not make me regret my 'early' purchase...
Any bias aside I cannot see a £100 drop - so no £250 this year for the Pro - £299 with a game.. yes I can see that and that is ok with me. Sony, you may proceed. :{

E3 in a month, aggresively priced PS4 Pro Slim with 4K Blu Ray support is widely expected.

A big portion of the customer base for a 'PS4 PS' would be people who already own a PS4. Cheaper die-shrunk components, the need to keep sales momentum up and just generally trying to crash the Scorpio/Switch party are all reasons for a big price cut.

I think it's because at the time of posting this there was a better deal on very (that required opening a credit account though).

Still weird how people are voting hot now for the same price lol.
