PS4 Slim 1TB Watchdogs 2 Bundle - Released 15th November 2016

Includes:

- PS4 Slim 1TB Console

- 1x Dual Shock 4 Controller

- Watchdogs Game on Blu-ray Disc

- Watchdogs 2 Game on Blu-ray Disc

- Access to Watch Dogs 2 downloadable content packs 30 days early

Best deal I've seen so far for this bundle, which includes the £25 off Tesco voucher (valid until 25th September 2016) TDK-HTNK - otherwise this bundle is £299. Closest price to this would be Game at £309.99

Free delivery included as well.

Not too bad, shame Watchdogs was an overhyped game.

And then Ubisoft downgraded the visuals, but regardless of the graphics and forgettable/dull story, I loved the stealthy gameplay that felt like Chaos Theory with some limitations.

Agreed. The stealth element was a nice touch but wasn't really a game that lived up to expectations.

If you'd never seen the "promised" visuals would you have said that the delivered graphics were terrible?

They're fine. My issue with the game was the horrendous story.

Okay. I just don't get what the graphics downgrade issue was all about. They had a target, they ultimately couldn't make it, so they downgraded the graphics. They were still good. It's a small subsection of entitled gamers getting angry about something that really doesn't matter at all.

It was an issue because they'd showed off a game that visually, was very good. When it came to retail copies though, many players were left disappointed - me included.

Why show something off, excite players and beef it up and act the big man if you're going to find problems in production later then go "Yeah, sod it just remove all those visual features"/

It happens in game development. They set a target of what they expect the game to be and when it comes to getting the full game running, it's a target they can't hit. It's a shame, yes - but it's not some big conspiracy or outrage that the small entitled subsection cried out that it was.

They communicated none of that prior to release and continued to market the game as a graphical marvel.

I don't care about the subject, Ubisoft games are complete dross regardless but I can at least understand why that would annoy people who bought into the hype.

You must get the first watch dogs as reminder of how bad it was, making the second one look amazing.

Unisoft say they heard all the complaints and feedback from the first and going all out on Watch Dogs 2 this one seems much more promising.

Decent price so heat from me but I won't ever buy one of these Slims because Sony have taken the pxxx by removing the optical audio socket trying to force everyone in to using their second rate wireless cans, what a liberty!

The pro has the optical output, the slim is meant for reducing costs and not many people use the optical port they removed that and included better 5ghz wifi and improved Bluetooth etc

Everything is done by number crunchers and 'trial and error' so if this Slim sells by the bucket load it will be noted for the future.

Regardless of my cynical outlook and suspicions, an optical out probably costs 20 pence or something stupid like that. I really see no excuse or justification to not have it.

Firstly you're guessing how much an optical port costs. But secondly, multiply that "20p" by millions, because that's how many consoles they'll be making and that's what it costs to include them - which is a waste if no-one's going to be using them.

As eloo said, the Pro has it and that's who it's aimed at - people who actually know what optical out is.

Yep I'm multiplying that four bob by millions and then multiplying the 200 quids they'll be getting for each console by millions......now what?

Not quite sure where you're getting no one uses them from because people clearly do be it from anything like a meaty AV receiver to the necessity for an Astro mixamp.

Not even going to get in to a debate about the Pro because it ain't actually landed yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it bombs. It's safe to say the Xbone S has definitely captured the eye and indeed the imagination of the console buying public with it's improved spec and attractive pricing structure.

Sony on the other hand have become slack and begun taking the punters for granted because of their domination this generation thus far. To me small details, exactly this sort of thing, emphasises my point all the more.

I have the Arkham edition PS4 and the Halo edition Xbone which I am both very contented with equally. Though going on beyond that MS have done more than enough for me to be pondering upgrading Xbones, especially to the red GoW edition, whilst Sony just seem to be putting me off the idea more each week, regardless of whether it's the Slim or Pro.

The proof of the pudding will be in the sales figures but don't be surprised if come the end of 2016 the Xbox One has made up furlongs of ground on the Playstation 4.

It's a shame that Tesco Direct charge upfront for pre-orders or otherwise I would have took this £274 offer, GAME have it for £309.99 I could get it for £300 with my reward points I have though. Amazon and GAME also have the PS4 Slim 1TB Call of Duty bundle for £299.99, again I could get it for £290, is that a good bundle? Both games are downloads though so not physical copies?
