Yes, the once redundant and totally useless controller, can now be used with PSVR and so have shot up in price

About time they finally got stock, they could potentially have one hell of a backlog though

And they wonder why VR isn't taking off (_;)

Freezing, rip off price, total price gouging, just because PS VR uses them. No reason they should shoot up to this price, still 6 year+ old technology selling at £70+! Still if people are daft enough to buy them at that price the shops will keep selling them.

With this kind of pricing for the controllers and the fact a PS VR is useless on it's own since it needs the camera too it is doomed to failure, sad, but deserved with this kind of pricing...

Not really. If you're already in the playstation ecosystem it's not going to cost as much. I already had move controllers from PS3 days (only paid £5 each new with Harry Potter and walking with dinosaurs bundles) and had a cheap PS4 camera off eBay from people that got them with launch bundles.

reasonable price 70 quid? just wow..

I remember when these were 20 quid back on PS3 and even had one packaged with book of spells which at one point was down to a fiver with the remote included. No one wanted them then, now because of VR, Sony feel they can charge £35 per move controller. It's scandalous and far from a reasonable price.

Reasonable price you say...

I'm already in the Playstation eco-system have been for years. Owned every console from PS1 through PS4 and even got the Pro. Still doesn't make this any better IMO. I did get move controllers back on the PS3 but only by chance received them as a gift, not something I would have gone out of my way to buy. People are even less likely to have the PS4 camera since virtually no games use it and it adds very little to the normal PS4 experience and didn't receive any real marketing push from Sony. It must be a tiny fraction of PS4 owners have the camera and an even tinier fraction have both camera and move controllers, which is what you need to buy a PS VR and just be able to actually use it!

Sony have really shot themselves in the foot not making a bundle with everything you need in one box and by not enforcing a lower price say £30 for the 2 controllers (£40 absolute max). They know full well if they let retailers decide they will just go for the highest they can get away with.

IMHO the best thing people can do with PS VR is vote with their wallets and don't buy it, the more people pay these crazy prices the higher Sony et al will push them.

Shame as I would like it to do well but I refuse to be ripped off. Also personally I think the resolution is just too low (sub 1080P) for a screen that close to your face. When they can do VR at 4K resolutions, then I think it will truly be something spectacular, though admittedly that is probably at least a generation off…

But Sony have made a bundle with everything you need in one box. You don't need the move controllers as every vr game works with the pad.

Not true, I bought Carnival Games VR for my kid sister the other day assuming this was true and annoyingly couldn't play, needs move controllers. Shocking.
