http://kotaku.com/5626934/playstation-move-stress-tests-using-lighting-changes-and-human-distraction

This article has one of the journalist do a stress test in regards to the lighting conditions to which the Move can still function.

There seems to be more of an issue if there is too much light rather than whether the room is too dark.

Have a watch and read and come to your own conclusions to your own gaming set up.

Hope this information helped and happy gaming (motion based or not), :)

I paid £44 for this and was delivered this morning.

I rang amazon (0884961081) and complained they reduced the price on the day of release, at first they said the difference needs to be more than £10 to get a refund so I said ok can you collect it and I'll buy again, went on hold and she came back and said as a one off they wil refund the difference....

Sweet Asda price delivered on the day of release....

Well Chuffed

Hot

£4.30 refund aitn much but for a 5 min phone it's just about worth it, was more angry they reduced by more than 10% on the day of release, they should refund the difference on all pre-orders....

Does this only come with 1 of the remote things?

Do you not need 2 remotes for all the games?

The Move starter pack comes with 1 PSEye Camera, 1 Move Controller and a "Starter Disc" (essentially a collection of Demos that use the Move controller).

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/09/07/everything-you-need-to-know-about-playstation-move/

All the games released (minus, "The Fight" - not sure if their's an option for using 1 controller) so far require a minimum of 1 Move controller, some games can utilise a second to which some have commented on the additional sense of immersion. For example in "Sports Champions" some modes allow the use of a second Move controller however one can still play with only 1.

Some games require a Navigation Controller (or a standard Dual Shock 3/Six Axis controller) in the other hand for additional input. Examples include Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition and Heavy Rain.

Having a second motion controller isn't necessary for some games but it does add to the experience.

Obviously this information applies to the owner playing 1 player games, some games with multiplayer may prompt the player to pass along the 1 controller (i.e. "Start the Party") whereas other games (if playing a 2+ player game) would require additional Move controllers.

Hope this information helps and happy gaming,
Scar

OR....

Just get it from Tesco for 9p cheaper and a FREE copy of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2

Oops I tell a lie, the £10 off 50 wouldn't work with that, still...

Get this with any £15 platinum game from them for only £5 more...

Like Uncharted 2 for £44.70

ASDA is a joke ! Went to buy one today, check out at the normal counter, I was being told to fill in the TV License form, as "anything connect to TV has to fill in the form" in which case the staff point out is the camera connect to TV. I tried not to laugh so much.

You should have told them you are going to use your Sony VAIO F Series or PlayStation Portable (or PSPgo) via "Remote Play" to use the PS3 & that it will never be connected to a TV :)

Better deal at Tesco
I used the £10 off £50 voucher from tesco (TDX-RTHK)

So I bought Move Starter Pack for £39.70
Of course thats not £50, so I bought Uncharted 2 for £15 (was going to get it anyway)

So basically I got
PSMove Starter Pack
Uncharted 2
for £44.70

Of course you don't need to get Uncharted 2, get something else as long as you have a total of £50 or more.

Great (first) comment...

Welcome to HotUKDeals.com.

I guess you could always buy a £20 PlayStation Network Card & just use the credit at a later date.

There is a way of getting this from asda for £18.88 (i did it earlier and if your asda does Buy Play & Trade).
1. Buy Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising from Currys/Dixons/Pc world for £4.97 (i brought 3).
2.Take to Asda Buy Play Trade who give £12 Trade.
3. Get £36 trade in, Add £3.97. Bobs your uncle.
I'm sure there are other games you can do this with, but i only knew the trade in price on this one.

asda direct/web haven't reduced price, down from 50 to 45 there, so looks like its in-store only

tescodirect online do have it
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-4651.aspx

no sign of sainsbury online having it

Cheers OP, me and a mate from work both picked this up at lunchtime.
Shame PSN will be down for maintenance by the time I get home so can't check out the Store.

How would you find out if your Asda does this service?

How would you find out if your Asda does this service?

Ring your local store's Customer Services team & ask.

In any respect, they may not wish to take three copies of the same title & you may end up gaining £12 from a £4.97 purchase (£7.03 profit), but be 2 x £4.97 (£9.94) down because Asda do not want the second & third items you have.

Unless you can dispose of the other two copies & not lose any (more) money on them then the PlayStation Move Starter Pack may eventually cost you more in terms of financial value & time!

I bought a starter pack from Sainsburys, Coldhams Lane, Cambridge yesterday for 39.99

they seemed to have a reasonable number of them

they also had the move controller by itself for 30,and the secondary controller was there too, can't remember the price but I think it was 25
