Always the way, I'm afraid $=£ in the console world, Ninty, M$ and Sony.
Always has been, always will be.:x

I have to say that if this is the starting price then I'm quite keen on this technology.
The price is (hopefully) bound to fall so I shall wait until there are more games supporting the feature BUT I'm quite eager to chop those aliens up in Dead Space:Extraction.

Good times for gamers at the mo.

Hot but am waiting for Game to put there pre-order up. Can anyone tell me what the game is you get with this? I thought you get Sports Champions game but game have that game up for pre order on its own for £40.
#6
what im sure i also noticed is some of the games require two moves which makes it £100 plus the other controller which i think acts like a nunchuck sort of thing?

the $49.99 is the rrp for just the move controller in the US! $99.99 is the rrp for the bundle pack in the US although theres comes with 'sports champions'

There is the 'Navigation Controller' yeah, but if you want you can just use a Dualshock3/Sixaxis controller for that purpose.
#11
good price, £49.99, US are paying $99.99 dollars for the same item( im pretty sure the starter disc will have mini games) and the package will be the same for both US and Europe. doh just did some research why not give us this sports game, silly japs

just used a converter.
50 British pounds = 73.87 U.S. dollars

they are paying $26 dollars for a wii sports

pretty good deal still with missing the game
#12
Thinking about it, 4 moves to play 2 or 4 player will cost alot of money! then maybe the added cost of the navigation controller too.
#13
the demo disc can be downloaded from the PSN so possibly if you have a us account their demo could be available also
#14
I would hold off on this. Most of the Sony adverts show someone using two of these or the wand and the navigation controller.
Until we know exactly what's needed for each game I would wait. This has the potential to get very expensive!
#15
like i was saying, you could even be looking at buying 8 wands for 4 player multiplayer for some games which is pretty unbelieveable!!

do you have 4 official pads?

you can get an idea whats needed for certain games by watching the little video on amazon
#18
how many spare camera's are gonna be flying about though!!!
#19
i've yet to see anything that would justify my purchase - i don't want my ps3 to become home to wii style mini game compilations - controls are a means to an end - they should become invisible to the user, not the raison d'etre.
#20
after seeing singstar dance yesterday, SWMBO is now putting them on the shopping list as wants
#21
Due for release on 17/09/2010

Chop ****ing chop.
#22
No, sorry, this deal is rubbish. Firstly, it's not out until September and secondly, this is the RRP. It WILL drop upon release. I chilled this because it's ridiculous for this to be posted at the present time.
#23
Some of the fighting & sport games shown so far require two wands, thus you would need 2 of these single player (£100), 4 for multiplayer(£200). Rip-off in my opinion.
#24
Bound to be a better deal nearly the time

anyway i want this sexy thing.

Also you don't need the navigation controller you can just use a DS3.
#25
why's it expired? i didn't vote just wondering
#26
been looking forward to this for ages sold a load of ps3 games raised nearly 200 quid to pay for this but no way am i paying these sort of prices id rather wait afew months till the price halves
#27
using the ds3 as the navigation controller? thats interesting didnt know that wouldnt it be uncomfortable using it side on?
#28
Game.co.uk are now taking pre orders for the same price. Some people like me might find games a better deal because you get the reward points.

But I voted this hot anyhow.
#29
I think its a good deal. At the E3 2010 Sony said the starter sports pack will be $99 in the US.
Amazon are also doing the pre-order, they have a pre-order price guarantee.

And to the people stating they need to spend £100+ for two players, why would you want to buy two starter packs. Just get another controller. How many people regularly spend £35+ for an extra Wii motion controller without looking at the cost.

Shame about the glowing bulbous tip, or so my wife tells me.
#31
If this is a starter pack....will the individual games come pre-packed with the additional controller if more than one is needed??
#32
I thought that price seems fair enough, considering the wand is £40 alone, not sure about the camera though. But for everything you need for one player £70 is alot to ask for.

i see your point, but this does still work out much more expensive, or seems to atleast. and with the wii thats the only controller, with this you have the move and whatever else comes with this and also the regular controllers which are also expensive
#34
I would be more interested in a pack with 2 wands, a game and nunchuk for £100 maybe.
#35

I was wondering the same
#36
I already have the camera... will they be doing a pack with the wand and navigation controller in one?
#37
My guess is some 360 fanboys have got this expired.
#38
The wand on its own is going to be £34.99

The playstation eye on its own is £24.99

The navigation controller on its own is going to be £24.99

Obviously that is just RRP and they will probably be cheaper different places.
#39
why expired?

Completely wrong, try adding another fiver on top of those prices, then you have the RRP.
