Just popped into Grainger games and they had these 3 month subscriptions in game type cases on the shelf instead of the usual slip by the counter. Is good for the 3 month sub. Even lady that served me double checked the price.

Not certain if this is online too. This was in the Pontefract Grainger Games.

Works out at £40 for the year though which is RRP
#3
can get 12months for less then £35 on cd key.
#4
Shows a saving from the 90 day RRP of £11.99.

BUT poor compared to 12 months available for less than £35 (seedy quays) RRP £39.99)

Because not everyone wants 12months maybe.

Because this price for 3 months is a good price, beating RRP, however as stated in comparison with 12 month subs at other retailers not so much of a deal but for people who maybe solely interested in just 3 months it's a deal (:
#8
For the 3 month sub this is a deal. As said not everyone wants a year, this retail at £12 this one is £10 that's a roughly estimated saving of 16% from retail price of buying a 3month sub. If you can cut a year up for me and then it's cheaper to have a three month then I'm all for it.
#9
£11 in store at Sainsbury's if like me you are nowhere near a Grainger.
#10
How is this a deal??
#11
Not a saving... Would rather get one year sub. Cold
#12
Waiting for the Morrison £5 deal again, might just happen between Christmas and the New Year.

Those who say this isn't a deal are just arguing for the sake of it. Yes, getting 4 is more expensive than 1 year but some people don't want a year, they want 3 months. This deal should be compared to other 3 month deals, so it is a good deal.

I really dont understand people.

So for example some posts a deal for a toaster up which is cheap, but you see the same toaster is cheaper when buying as part of a kitchen set you are going tell everyone to buy the kitchen set as it works out cheaper overall. Yes course it does because your buying more but not everyone wants the full set. How can you vote a deal cold comparing it to buying more of something, that is just as stupid as it sounds. This deal is for 3 months subscription not 12 months, it has not been implied as a deal to save money on 12 months but to be cheaper buying three. This is not rocket science.

I got one yesterday off ****.com reduced to £34 and another 5% off from their facebook page. Looks like the price has gone up to £35.99 now, but still cheaper than most places

That was me :) I only wanted 3 months when it first started because I had no idea how good or bad it would be :)

Still a large market for it. Personally I prefer single player games, but every now and then I fancy a bit of multiplayer.
#25
Some people play games more in the winter, when it is dark early and cold out. 3 months is perfect for them.
#26
Cold - no point buying 3 months when 12 is £35.

Sorry but don't see how someone can vote hot. Way more than just getting a 12 month and not even much of a saving on RRP

I know what point you are driving towards and if somebody only wants three months for some reason then yeah this is fine.
But to go along with your analogy, the toaster will break in three months and you will need a new one. What people are saying is that you can get a twelve-month toaster for less money than four three-month toasters.
And most people are going to want to keep toasting and pay less, the same way that they want to keep up their Plus sub for less.
#30
Possibly folks just wanting to 'dip there toe' there new to PS and want to try it before commiting to 12 months ?
Possibly they've just shelled out £300 on little Johnnys Christmas and can't afford/justify another £35, whereas another £10 is bearable?

Who knows, there IS a market for the 3 months subs or they wouldn't offer them to buy.

It IS a deal IMHO, as its a saving against the normal price, isn't that what this sites about, cheapest available ?
Not personal opinion as to why its pointless against 12 months subs.

But if you only used the toaster for six months ? - you'd be cheaper with two three month toasters....;)

use a second email address to start a new psn account. set your location as US/Canada.
click the button in settings to activate it as your primary playstation.

buy a ps plus code from amazon on the US site which is cheaper than here.

Add this to your other account which is registered overseas.

job done.

only 1 account has to have ps+ on your system and any other account on there then gets all the benefits.

then when you switch on the playstation just click your old account which is registered here and it benefits from all the added features for less money.
#33
wait for some xmas offers in the US on ps+ then buy 2 or 3 and stack them on your account

People arguing the deal is cold because it is not a 12 month sub instead...

...be sure to vote other deals cold on similar logic.

Next time someone posts groceries with 30% off vote it cold because you bought 9 years supply of groceries at 50% off.

Seriously, only a moron would compare a 3 month sub deal to a 12 month deal.

guys, think abput it. Would Sony sell 3-month cards if there wasn't a market? Plus has been around for a while now. They would've noticed it if nobody was buying these cards.

hi sebs, what does "click the button in settings to activate it as your primary playstation" mean?
TIA

For someone like me I think that this is a great deal....Let me explain.

In the last few months I have not had much time at all to play any games and therefore my PS+ subscription ran out and as I can't see that I will get long gaming periods in the near future a 12 month subscription may not prove good long term value. However if I were to buy a couple of these I could use 1 now to allow me to play previously bought (now locked) games over Xmas, download new PS+ freebies that I can play for 3 months & also obtain discounts in the Xmas sales and another at a later date should any games arise on PS+ that I would like to download.

For most a 12 month sub at £35 represents much better value but in my current gaming situation 3 months proves ideal :-)

Thanks for this OP....I'm off to Grainger!!
