Short version:

Littlewoods sell the 1-year PS+ subscription for £49.99 and you can use a £20 discount for new accounts.

Longer version:

So the last time I bought PSN cards was about 3 years ago on a great deal from here, and that subscription is very sadly running out. I came back to my trusty HUKD for some sweet PSN deals but nothing quite hit that low spot.

Anyway, I went on my own deal hunting adventure and came across Littlewoods who sell a year's subscription for £49.99, which you can buy cheaper directly from Sony. However, for new credit accounts with Littlewoods you can get a £20 off a £40 spend. Perfect. Although I wanted to wait until the discount was confirmed before I posted the deal here. And, good news, it has - there is a £20 refund on my credit card already.

Quidco has also tracked at £0.42 (1%) but should track at 7% for new customers - which I'll be raising a ticket for if it doesn't adjust.

Voucher: KP3GU (for new accounts) [credit to DaniX]

PS plus can be had for little over £30 anyway so a waste of a £20 discount. plus the hassle of opening up a littlewoods account and possibility of being credit checked.

It saves a few quid (about £6 if Quidco comes through), plus there were some comments from the other 2 current deals that put me off buying from a site I'd never heard of.

There was minimal hassle from setting up the account - this was something I was initially wary of but was surprised at the overall ease. Each to their own.

Don't know how the catalog shops get away with selling everything above rrp. It's a pity the code is limited to new accounts as £29.99 is about the best price going at the minute.

A couple of years ago they credit checked me 6 times after I purchased an Xbox from them even though I paid using a debit only card. I had never indicated that i wanted to be a Credit customer with them & didn't buy anything else from them.

The checks went on over a period of 3-4 months & only came to my attention when i applied for an credit card from my bank. The bank explained that the activity (credit searches) made it look like I was applying for credit on many occasions. Fortunately they were able to identify who made the searches & it always came back to Littlewoods. I did eventually get my Credit card but the searches from Littlewoods remained on my credit history for quite awhile.
