Looks like it will be brilliant. This version is getting developed by Bluepoint games, so this'll be their first 'new' game since Blast Factor back in 2006!

I really want to like this as it's got Parappa and Toro in it but it looks a bit soul-less and cheap. Also, a game directly 'homage'-ing Smash Bros needs a tooooooon of characters and it looks like there's going to be 19 characters. Remember Spike from Ape Escape? Err, I remember the monkeys... There's not a lot of pedigree in the list and half the characters are gormless humans with no real personality or signature attacks. Bring in the guys from Yakuza, Persona and Final Fantasy :) Well, I'll cautiously look forward to the game...

Now if they had tagteams, Dante & Lady, Toro & Kuro, Parappa & Master Chop-Chop, Nariko & Kai, then it'd be more exciting and they could have doubled the roster with no extra licenses and brought in secondary characters that are more interesting than the leads haha

Excellent price, though I don't see much point in ordering the vita version if you've got a PS3, offline multiplayer should be one of the key selling points for games like these and this isn't exactly realistic with the vita version

I have the beta and it's excellent, despite the large amount of glitches, bugs and freezes running rampant, but that comes with the territory 'cos y'know... it's a beta. Seriously fun and addictive stuff though.
