Right so it is currenty £24.85 at Amazon and Shopto which is the deal I intended to post, but then I saw that it was £24.60 at Game Trade Online - Fulfilled by Amazon, but there are only 5 left in stock so I just added both into this thread as both are good deals instead of posting 2 separate deals with one probably expiring quickly.

The contents of this pack are -

- 8GB Memory Card and a PlayStation Store voucher to download these 5 great games:
- Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
- Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
- PlayStation Allstars: Battle Royale
- God of War: Chain of Olympus
- Killzone: Liberation

This would go great with one of those cheap Asda PS Vita deals.

Probably been previously said but surely they should have shipped the games in this deal with a 16GB card as a minimum? I suppose a way to get gamers to buy another card in the future for more £ for Sony.
#9
I love the Vita, but strangely don't play on it! In fact seem to have given up on all games! Must pick it up again soon.

all that for £25 quid, Bargain.

So why did Sony not learn, Think how successful the Vita would have been if it wasn't for the so overpriced memory cards, I really don't get there mentality, I just can't get my head around the reasoning for it, Makes no sense at all.

I have a brand new one in the cupboard that the mother in law bought me last Christmas with the 4MB card and Fifa, Have not had the desire to open or use it yet, Don't ask me why, And I don't need the money that bad that I'll sell it for 100 quid, I'll just hold onto it, Or give it out as a Christmas present this year.

All these ppl saying they have 100+ games for Vita, I didn't even know it had 100+ games! People always complain that it's not supported enough...

The reason is because the 5 games are just under 8GB in size. Although it would have been a lot better to put a 16GB in there to increase sales and to actually finally do something right for the Vita.

Agreed. As a Vita lover its really disappointing how much Sony have messed up with the Vita. What makes it worse is that after all this time instead of trying to fix the problem, they've just given up on it.

I think the same. Nintendo have been smashing the handheld market for years but are known for their overpriced digital store. The Vita has a great platform in PS+ including the free games every month, it's a powerful little machine, remote plays the PS4, all perfect things... then they go and make proprietary memory cards and ruin everything, to an extent. I'll pick a vita up but only when the 64gb cards are reasonably priced.

They did the same with their cameras... the famous memory stick. I guess they will never learn.

Memory cards are cheap as chips. £60 for 64GB. Get a PS+ subscription and play a ton of great games for free.

Don't buy a Vita if you can't afford/justify an essential part of it. The memory cards have been this price for a long time and you should know that you NEED one to get the best out if the handheld.

No,The real problem was bundles being sold with a useless 4GB card, You may be able to pick up a 64GB card now for 80 quid, But back in it's prime they were over 100 quid, Even a 16 gig was £40.
You, And them like you are the reason that the Vita is in the position it is, It was being shouted from the rooftop's in 2012 that the Memory pricing was gonna hold the Vita back, And it has, It's not a case of if you can afford it, I can, I'm just not going to pay 80+ quid for an overpriced Micro SD Card, Go to Memorybits now and you can get a 64Gig Kingstone MSD for £20, And there are parents all over the country that thought the same, Which is why there are so many Vita's going dusty, Sony used proprietary Memory for one reason, And one reason only, Greed, But if your happy to support that greed, Then good for you, Cos millions haven't.

I have to completely disagree Babylon.

Vita memory cards are more expensive due to economics (lower demand than standard SDs results in lower supply...no third parties etc...ergo higher production costs).

And the reason they dont use standard SDs is simple...protection against intrusion / firmware exploits etc (Look at Apple as a case in point and compare against the mess of android).

Vita memory cards are more expensive because of one thing, Greed, And Sony trying to do what they always try to do, Control the market, Betamax,MiniDisc,DAT,Blu-Ray,Memory Disk. There are no third party suppliers because of licencing, There more expensive cos Sony are the only ones that can supply them, Just Google Vita Memory card and see what comes back, Other than the odd Chinese knock off, All your get is Sony.
It's there console, And they can do as they wish with it, But you can't defend the indefensible.
#28
I don't defend the indefensible ...

I merely state the truth

If you have some spare time consider doing a doctorate in business management

Muhahahaha
#29
Excuse me, Did you think you would use the word doctorate and come across all high and mighty, pulling the wool over your eyes would be a pretty simple task, your the sort of customer Sony dream of.
#30
Anyone defending Sony for the way they have gone about the Vita memory cards is wrong, end off. There is no justification for what they have done, from launch I'm sure the price per GB was over £2, that is ridiculous. It's no surprise the Vita has done poorly with the way they've treated it. Obviously not using a standard SD due to piracy is understandable but that's no reason to charge the ridiculous amount that they are.

Interestingly if you wanted to buy Injustice and Batman :Blackgate from the ps store for the vita they will set you back £34.99 each!!!!!

This pack is worth the cost just for those two games and the memory card.

God of war : Chains of Olympus is also an excellent game for the vita as is Battle Royale......Killzone is ok.

It's almost all too cheap.

Be warned it's one code for all 5 games so if you have any of them already you will lose out.

Bought. Hot.

The cost of memory cards isn't hidden or a secret. If you buy a vita you know what the cost of memory cards will be unless you blindly buy electronics without any research.

Simple answer is don't buy a vita if you can't afford the memory cards.
#33
Your right, Memory card cost's are not hidden, You also have to remember that not all Vita's were bought by 30 something males that spend there day's on the net **** reading up on the in's and out's of the Vita and electronics in general, Many were bought for kids by Mums and Nans, And it was probably fair for them to think they had it covered because it come with a memory card, You may be able to pick up a 16 gig card now for 25 quid, But back in it's infancy they were twice the price, And it's in these early days it needed to find it's footing, But instead of that, Within months the first death nail was struck.

Simple answer is don't buy a vita if you can't afford the memory cards.

Which many people have done, Which is why it is dying a slow drawn out death, Which is no good for anyone, With that statement, You only help to quicken it's demise.

30 Year old male - god bless you!

The Vita wont die because its a great games system and with the PS4 link its better than anything else out there.

Memory cards do need to come down in price to sell more vita's , I accept that. What aggrivates me is the people on this thread moaning about the cost of the memory cards AFTER buying the Vita.

Vita is a great device, which is only made better by having a good sized memory card in it to switch with ease between any game you want to play.

The people who see the vita as a failure are the cheap ones who can't give sony the equivalent price of 2 AAA games for a decent memory card.
Yet there's argument regarding buying additional official controllers for consoles and their largely extravagant price, but you buy it to enhance the enjoyment of the device/console.

Think of the Vita's cost collectively or don't think at all, move on.

Just fyi, but PlayStation Allstars is the PS3 cross-buy version (whereas the Vita store version isn't), which was a nice surprise.
