Fanboys ITT, however I really think the best time to buy one of these will be a few days after xmas, when 60% of people realise they get motion sickness from playing it and sell it on ebay used.

Dude, this is a new platform - top games take a while to rise to the surface - what I liked about Sony's approach is you get a free demo disc of 'top games' so you can try before you buy.

Gimmick. It's right up there with the Sega Mega CD, 32X and Menacer.

I will pick one up in the fire sale next year. It's a great piece of hardware but it just won't be successful financially.

I'm all for this tech and glasses-less 3D but it will be niche and I remain unconvinced that it will be given sufficient longevity. Yes it looks amazing (saw up close and personal at this year's Gadget Show) but I just don't think it'll be sold to the masses.

Nvidia 3D Vision was a decent attempt at 3D on the PC and yet everyone seems to have pretty much given up on it. Hell, even regular TVs are now dropping the 3D capability assuming we all don't want it anymore (I still use it).

I'd like to see VR take off and convince me otherwise but I remain sceptical at present.

tens of millions of ps4 consoles in peoples homes across the world. psvr demand is outweighing supply and it is being sold to the masses.

3D gaming on the pc is appealing to a miniscule demographic given the cost needed.

consoles are mainstream.

the price point is amazing compared to competition.

a plethora of games show real depth in what they can offer. it is far from a gimmick.

3D tvs were always going to be a gimmick. games lend themselves to interactivity and immersion.

simple 3d and VR are very different.
