I thought it was self-evident. The name of the site is Hot DEALS. If it's not a hot DEAL, it get down voted.

Edit - in honesty, I'm perhaps missing something and it might also include things like restocks. But that wouldn't make much sense to me.

It isn't. Anyone would think this was stock availability uk deals or now ready for pre-order uk deals. If it isn't under RRP it isn't a deal and shouldn't be posted in deals simples. Don't mind notices for people interested myself though, but there should be another section for them, deals should be strictly stuff under RRP....

i would like one, my only concern is that sony will pull the plug saying it's not commercially viable and i'll be left with....
i went into game to find one, there are only a handful of games available. how many games will need to become available for it to have market acceptance?
if i were sony i be pushing for more games, even making my own.
microsoft studios made crackdown.

Compared to the £500 they're asking in CeX, this is a hot deal!

It's still just rrp, for me a hot deal implies under rrp and a really good deal should be under by a significant amount, this is neither. People need to vote with their wallets, don't buy it at £500, don't buy it at £350, if no ones buying it they have to make it cheaper....

While I'm not going to use this deal as an example since there are factors as to why it might be cold, there is a sheep mentality to voting on the site and the people who run it must know this too. Until recently we could see the heat of a deal from the outset, but now there is something like a 5-10 minute delay where you can't before voting and this is because some people will vote cold on deals that are already cold and hot on deals that are already hot so the very first vote on a deal could change the direction voting went instead of product knowledge. Kind of like Asch's conformity test.

I have seen deals on this site voted cold and then voted hot a week later at a higher price. I also see a deal's heat being related to who posted it as well and not just the strength of a deal. If these imaginary internet points bother anyone though, I'd sooner advise you either accept they actually mean nothing or consider not posting as you may be disappointed.

For me, a deal is based on the reality of the situation at the time of posting, RRP is immaterial and largely a work of fiction by the manufacturer anyway! If it's the cheapest available, it's a deal. Using your logic, every stick of furniture in DFS is the bargain of the century!!

Can't please anyone on here. Everyone on here thinks it's their god given right to troll and negative about everything.
