Seems an excellent price for a 4 gang socket.....partically with surge protection and individual switches.

I bought the 6 gang one as posted here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/168051/plexus-6-way-individually-switched-/

can't really complain at the price but it doesn't seem to be surge protected at all and someone claims that theirs blew up! If it's surge protection your looking for I'd advise you click the link above and read the thread, then buy something better.

they had them last wk for 2.99 with 6 sockets

Yeah I bought the 6 way sockets last week for £2.99 and way better value than the 4 way here..

To be honest, most of these surge protection sockets can probably be taken with a pinch of salt. But the seperate switches are genuine!

Yep the switches are handy, which is why i bought them:thumbsup:. I'm not saying it's a bad deal just saying that these will probably not protect your expensive equipment. The protector I use (the brand name i've forgotten for the moment) is guaranteed to protect and in the event it fails, the company will pay out up to £80000. It's just peace of mind I suppose.

Bought two last week. Not very happy with the quality. both of them faulty. One out of six sockets does not work on both of them. It could be just me who got the faulty lot. Only paid £6 for both so cannot be bothered to send it back.
AVOID IT.

I bought the six way version that was on offer a few days ago. If this one is anything like similar quality I'd avoid it. The six way version lacks any form of indication of quality eg BS or Kitemark. Also the cable seems a bit thin for something fused 13A.

Why have people stopped using inc P&P prices on here?

There is a saftey mark on the plug
Not fantastic quality but they are great value

True, the plug does indicate it meets BS1363A, but the socket strip has no indication of compliance with any safety standard. Indication of compliance on the plug should in no way be taken as indicating that the socket complies with any safety standard. I've opened up my sockets and I can say that the quality inside is quite poor.

Came to use my second one last night, the 6 ways version of this make. as soon as I inserted the 3 pin plug in the mains it blew my house circuit breaker. Then I changed the fuse to a 5 amp one and had another go. Again it blew this fuse too , indicating a short circuit inside the socket strip. I recommend you all to test all yours as some of you may have bought loads and put into stock.

Yeah, just to add to the above, I wouldn't recommend either. Bought 2 of the 6 socket version. One socket in each doesn't work.
