Cheapest I've seen them do it so far with free delivery (5 day super saver) -
Was previously rated 400 when it was £3.55, so this is a steal (while it lasts).

Here's the usual bumph -

HDMI Version 1.3

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a specification that combines video and audio into a single digital interface for use with DVD players, digital television (DTV) players, set-top boxes, and other audiovisual devices. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video plus standard to multi-channel surround-sound audio. HDMI benefits include uncompressed digital video, a bandwidth of up to 5 gigabytes per second, one connector instead of several cables and connectors, and communication between the video source and the DTV. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel digital audio, with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements. Instead of using multiple of the two dozen connectors on the back of a home theatre component, you use just one HDMI connection. HDMI offers two big benefits: - Instead of needing multiple cables for the video signal and multiple cables for the sound signal, HDMI integrates all video and sound signals onto a single, thin cable. It makes it trivially easy to connect components together. - Instead of converting digital signals to analogue (to run through the cables) and then back to digital, everything on an HDMI cable remains in its original, uncompressed digital format. HDMI 19 Pin Male Connector

Our range of HDMI cables are 100% compatible with all Hi-Definition Standards (720p,1080i & 1080p) They are also HDCP Compatible (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) - the content scrambling standard used in all current TV/Satellite and Cable boxes/DVD/Projectors etc.

We are so confident in the quality of our cables that we supply a LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

Yeah - the Home Bargain's ones are either 1.5 or 1.8m (not 2m) but are also gold plated (although I don't think that has much difference tbh).

Great deal, voted hot. I've just ordered a PS3 with my contract phone - does anyone know if it will come with a HDMI cable (i.e. is there one that comes with a PS3 boxed)? If not, I'll order this.

None included, buy this before it sells out.

So this is fine to run between a HDTV and PS3? I thought the longer the cable the lower the quality??? Is 2 metres too long or will quality be ok? Ta
#13
With regards to ebuyers '5 day delivery', almost everything I've ordered that way has turned up in 2-3 days.

I think the gold plating on digital cables is more to prevent oxidisation etc, not too sure on the details, someone else here might know.

You won't have any problems with quality unless you are going over 5-10m. Anything less than that, just get the cheapest you can find that supports the latest HDMI standard (1.3).

For a long cable you would want to spend more money else you may find the picture breaks up or can be influenced by interference.

Ditto. Refuse to pay an outrageous charge just because im from NI. I have bought one entered the correct address except for the postcode which is one letter out. This means ebuyer cant recognise it as NI so got the free delivery. Will see how it goes...

Home Bargin's cables are also gold plated  Yeah I read something about the gold plate only making a difference with the oxidation.

EDIT: To people voting cold because its more expensive to NI, it's a similar issue with most websites that offer delivery to NI. Kinda stupid that you'd vote every deal cold because of that.
#21
Nice one!

I'd bought a 1.5m cable a while back someplace else, but it was just short of what I needed - so for £3 that's a wee problem fixed and gives me the old one to plug into my 360.

Don't forget to laugh at the people who spend a fortune on HDMI cables in the belief that they must be getting a noticeably superior picture. They're not.

An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable.

I believe it's only when you're looking at cable lengths of 10m or more it affects the quality.

Not really to me it is not that good a deal (because of p&p)...therefore I vote cold...Most sites dont charge anymore for NI delivery such as amazon play etc.

Cheers voted hot got one for my Panny dvd recorder.

Wow, nearly 4 hours and nobody yet saying you have to spend more for a decent one? :)

Next time I see an NI only deal (which there have been a few of) I'll be sure to vote cold then....regardless of how good a deal it may be for you.

Lol, sorry about that.
For some reason I missed off a section of the info (starting with 1080p). Fixed it now.

Bought some for £2.99 from ebuyer on 28th June - arrived yesterday. Thought it was a good price :)
#34
Or if you don't want to wait, and happen to have a Home Bargains in your town, they do them for £2.99. Not gold coated, but I don't think it really matters in terms of picture quality.
#35
Great :D I need one to connect the XPS M1530 I bought a while back (again through hotukdeals!) to the 50" plasma!

Will buy another as a spare!

Bit of a shame they can't be as cheap as the HDMI to DVI cables I bought from Tescos (10p, lol!)

Anyone know a cheap place for an HDMI to DVI (male) adaptor? Had a look on deal xtreme but they seemed dubious about the build quality.

Want to attach this to my new telly from my macbook (have got the DVI adaptor dongle) - but thinking of building a new PC so can re-use this with an HDMI motherboard rather than buying two cables i thought

Best price Ive seen in UK, checkout the 5m cables only £5.99:)
