Who from Life, EE or Plusnet?

Makes sense seeing as BT own EE & Plusnet keeps everything in the family so to speak

Life customer service was excellent until we asked to leave, then just plain rude, in a world where people move around we wouldn't go back again after that :(

Should blend in well with the MinusNet customer service then!

If customers are on the 1.5 gb deal for 5.95 and it switchs to 4g maybe a good deal for them. Life currently has 4gb data for 12 pound I think so this is cheaper in terms of like for like comparison. Also a lot of people may not like life mobile customer service.

Hmm. Been with Plusnet for about 4years now, always been very helpful, never had problem with customer service, tempted with this offer, as Tesco mobile contract just ended, also thinking of getting Plusnet TV, would be going if they offered deals.
#13
Life mobile is EE.....but EE sold it's business to BT....BT owns plusnet.....so the big daddy is BT.

Plusnet will put up prices for their 4G tariffs....best to wait until they show their hand.
If you paying old price of £6 for 1gb best to migrate to 1.5gb for £5.95 before plusnet takeover.

I have also been with plusnet for a number of years but lately the service has been appalling ...it can take up to 20 mins to log on to my email assuming I can actually do that then as soon as I try to reply to anything I get server error and everything crashes.
The only advice I got from plusnet was not to log on through their own page but can't work out how to do it any other way

What they mean, is if you get your email from Microsoft as in Hotmail, or outlook you can log in through msn.co.uk, or if through gmail then gmail.com e.t.c.

Well, the 4 GB price of £15 reduced to £10/month on rolling contract for those who pre-register.

Just checked the website plusnetmobile.com and will pre-reg myself when I get back from the bank.

Even at undiscounted price, the lower end of unlimited texts, 1000 minutes and some data thrown in for 7.50 looks good to me, as a relatively light user... £10 leaves scope for some

(Used to have the Three "One Plan" and could use unlimited data with tethering for £15 but they finally pulled it in about April/May for me, and wanted 30 quid a month without the good tethering option, so I left them to it. Last week they were pushing a £9/month contract then £18 after a year, so ignored it.)

Looking at the rest of the Plusnet packages, they are very, very average, compared to the current Life Mobile tariffs!

I see that there's no mention of discounts for existing Plusnet customers, but part of me tells me that if I want to get a decent Life Mobile tariff, I'd better do it right now, rather than wait for the allowances to drop due to Plusnet's greed!

BT transfer LM to sister Plusnet, I wonder if EE shops will be split between PN and BT when the full integration happens.

But let's be honest did anyone actually take out a Life deal direct, it was only worth it through the brokers like uswitch or the other one that went hot today.

I only had a quick look and saw mention of double data for existing bb customers.

shockingly good. answer the phone in under a minute everytime I've rang
#27
Well that looks like I'm off to another provider! Generally life have been very good but not sure on the plusnet teams taking over, was on live chat earlier today couldn't answer a simple question! Seems like they've already started to add the useless staff! :( I'll ring tomorrow & see what the phone call response is like! Every time I've rang before life are very responsive hope they don't change

Does this mean after November, you will only be able to take out mobile with Life/PlusNet Mobile if you are a broadband customer of theirs?!

I have always been interested in the deals with Life, but can't sign up to them until my current contract runs out in January.

You'll be able to sign up without being a Plusnet broadband customer - but the bundles that they are offering agent as good as the current Life Mobile tariffs.

wonder how long it will be now before sky show their mobile pricing plan?

I've that £1 life mobile deal, will I get to keep it?

Think many HUKDers are voting cold due to their perceptions of Plusnet customer service, but that isn't the subject here!

Thanks OP for highlighting a good value, flexible, SIMO deal which uses EE's 4G network 8)

PS personally I'd look at the quality of service (coverage, speed etc) of the carrier network which in EE's case is considered the best (even if they say so themselves) - how often do you really need customer service from the MVNO? :{

Does the Plusnet deal offer any tethering? For me, tethering is the 'Elephant in the room' deal maker or breaker that all the cheapie and 30 day contract offers want to ignore.

That's also one of the first things I look for... apparently it does include tethering according to 'kenstechtips' and uswitch, however I'm unable to find anything official

Surprised so cold, I am on Life 1GB for 5.95 but happy to move over to this to get a little more speed mostly, seems about the best EE based deal for £10 a month, unless of course you have BT Broadband then you could get the same sort of deal with a £60 amazon voucher, but a 12 month min term on BT mobile.
#39
wonder what this will mean for those of us on the £1 life mobile tariffs as they are due to go up soon, well from what people have said, as I've not been told of any price increase or it only being honored for 6 months.

Thanks. Not bothered really how people vote, just hope it's useful to someone.
