WARNING... SECURITY ISSUE for PLUSNET mobile customers.

CERTAIN INCOMING CALLS will DISABLE further incoming calls. PLUSNET deny this is a SECURITY issue.

PLUSNET response:
"I've taken a look at your account and can see you've been advised the issue you've been experiencing since the bank called you is not something we can resolve, but will be fixed automatically in 12 - 24 hours

It's not that a call from the bank is causing your calls to be barred, it's that they are calling from short code which is causing a network error. I can only apologise for the inconvenience of this situation"

Seems to be great deal, I would be looking for something like that next year with Samsung Upgrade Program + Simo. Is there really an issue with people not able to phone us when on 4G?

I changed to Plusnet a couple of months back then upgraded to the MSE deal which kicks in shortly. No issues with calls here in Wiltshire. Customer service has been good as well.

Maybe a new fault just seems unusual both sims sent out and both had problems, if i switched to 3g all was fine, but 4g on other networks are great.

We had got a deal from them 1500 mins unlimited txt and 3gig data for 7.50 per month one month rolling contract, so im quite **** to have to cancel deal.
forgot to say if i surfed the net on 4g all was great just people trying to phone was going straight to voicemail.

Just a thought, if you have an iPhone you can reset the network settings. Sounds like device/configuration issue? Good luck anyway.

Not sure to be honest! I've never heard of sims not working cause 4g is not turned on

sim never stopped working only incoming calls , i could still phone out.
anyway ive paid a little more and the 4g is fine now

No such deal! Where did you find it?

I'm on Plusnet, I suggest you to read their forums before you commit. I can't receive phone calls for few days now and I'm not the only one.

Bear in mind all networks have issues at some time or another. Yesterday a phone on giffgaff went straight to voicemail each time I called when the phone was clearly connected, a switch off and back on resolved the isssue, no logical reason for this to happen. I'm not defending Plusnet but I've not had any problems in 3 months of being with them.

Plusnet have been a nightmare since they took over Life Mobile.
Unable to receive calls, send or receive texts, keep being told by them to remove sim card then replace, new sim card sent etc, still the same issues. I'm done with them

if you are with Lloyds/TSB/Halifax and feeling adventurous, try to go to Internet banking and setup a new payee (or do anything that will trigger an automated call from the bank). From what I tried, the call never came, and now I can't receive calls/texts anymore. Still trying to figure out how to resolve it... :S
