Terrible service since Life Mobile got taken over, I won't be staying with them.

I think everyones experience is different! My wifes number ported over even though it was a bit slow taking three days its been fine and is much faster than guffgaff everything has been fine!

For me i still have the £1 a month deal and decided as my talktalk contract was up to port over! Again no problems at all apart from the slow port and its still £1 a month! So up to people if they think is a good deal or want to try it! Just hope the £1 a month deal lasts

This is stated as a £5 monthly reduction on usual price. When does the £5 monthly reduction cease? Thanks.

I agree...also have the £1 deal and cannot fault Life Mobile....same staff now work for Plusnet Mobile (I'm told) so service should remain good ?

I moved from giffgaff because it was a better deal than their £7.50 goody bag. I got twice as much data and the same minutes for £5. The port took several days but Plusnet have credited one month's subscription to my account, I'm delighted. Two major differences between providers: Plusnet have CS reps who are extremely helpful and their 4G, being on EE, is a lot faster than giffgaff on O2.

Life were great on customer service took 3 sims to them but had issues with 2 but customer service very quick and helpful, gave additional credit because of the issues. We left because signal was terrible but I went back to them last month because of the 4g. Sim took to long to arrive so had to cancel, wont be going back, took over 45 minutes to be told to call another number to get through to customer service and then another 45 to cancel, guy said he would give me the credit for my existing month with my current provider but 90 minutes was enough for me.

Like some above I too am on the old £1 Life Mobile deal, and can't complain. However the Life deal was on EE's 3G network only, and still is since Plusnet took over. Problem is I lose the signal an awful lot where I live, especially in the pubs I frequent (which is handy sometimes ;-) but can be inconvenient too).
Anyway, my point is, when I lose the signal and do a network search the EE 4G network is always showing strong - it will let me connect manually, but only for a few minutes then nothing again. This deal appears to be on 4G, might be worth considering in my case, but it's still Plusnet, and am undecided in case it's no more reliable than the 3G (£1)deal I'm on... :-(

Fivebob does your phone have 2g as thats all you need to phone and texts i use an ipad with a separate sim and find EE's 2g network excellent! It's a known fact that EE is considering switching off the 3g before 2g as what do people use 3g for? 4g has replaced it for data and calls and texts are the same on 2g! Also there are a lot of phones out there and switching of 2g doesn't really benefit calls! When the 1g analoge was switched off it didn't make a big difference and there were far less devices out there in the mid ninties!

I'm hoping my £1 a sim lasts quite long tbh perfect for calls and texts! But even if it goes to £5 i'll be happy!

Just done a manual network search there and no EE 2G network here. All the others Voda 3&4, EE 3&4, O2 2&3. Was thinking I might just keep the £1 sim, and take out this new deal and try it for a month, then sure if it's no better just cancel!

I left Life Mobile a few months ago because of various problems in my area so I rejoined giffgaff.
However I hated giffgaff (generally quite expensive these days and the forums are pants), so when Plusnet mobile launched I thought that I'd try them - they are great, apart from number porting which took three days.

We did on two of three sims we went over to them, one could text but one had nothing and it took 5 days to fix it :(

Plusnet mobile..a absolute nightmare, porting my number was a disaster, I left them in first week, customer service a joke. Even though they confirm I no longer have a mobile account with them I have just received statement on my mobile account, apparently I am in credit by £8.00. How the hell they work that out I don't know, they refunded my £10.00 joining payment, I cancelled my standing order. But it seems my Plusnet account is still open. Keep well clear of them. I have been with there Broadband for years, but this has totally **** me off with them and I'm packing that in as soon as contract up in March
