only £5.99 for 3 months for me

worth mentioning that plusnet were bought by BT a while ago, and as such you can use a BT homehub with them, could save a couple of quid if you were with BT previously, I use plusnet and they're bril.
#3
how do you find out if your area qualifies for the £5.99 fr the whole of the 18 month contract?
#4
* Plusnet Value broadband starts at £5.99 a month. If you live in one of our low cost areas then you'll pay this price every month. If you live outside of one of these areas then you'll pay £5.99 a month for the first 3 months and £11.99 a month thereafter.

Oh dear, not Plusnet again :-(
Just do a search on the site, reading threads like these for starters will save a lot of new words:

The two of those comments is enough to put me off for a lifetime without another word being said! :-(

Thanks for posting this - was paying £9.75 for this (2gb limit), just logged into my Plusnet account and option is there to change to £5.99 product (10gb limit). ACE!

EDIT: I called them as you cannot check online if you are in a low cost area. Seems I am. Only downer is its an £18 contract :(

I've been with Plus net for about 7 years and had a couple of hiccups but nothing to put me off them. I think they're ok. Used to be better when you could get through to "Duncan" at the support place rather than the damn automated system though, but no complaints from me. Even took it with me when I moved with no hassles.

been with them for many years. Initially metronet and when they got taken over by plusnet. Only had one problem when my credit card expired, and had my account stopped. Bit of hassle to get re-instated. However otherwise am happy with the service. Have just downgraded from their Option 2 (15Gb) at £15.56 to this one saving just under £10.00 and I am within their value code, so it's 5.99 for the long haul

Plusnet are excellent, they've helped resolve issues with my line through BT which other ISPs couldn't even begin to resolve as they'd just fob you off.

Their top package has a low peak usage limit but I'm not bothered as I download during the early hours for the most part, I'd actually recommend them over Entanet these days (whose service is rapidly degrading).

There are no decent LLU operators in my area so I'm stuck with ADSL Max until, I dunno 2010?

O2 Broadband standard up to 8mb speed, with unlimited downloads for a 12 month contract is £7.34 for O2 customers and £12.23 for non O2 customers.

I could not agree more about entanet - who used to be among the best. Will have a look at plusnet now - my mum was on them for a year - low user £10 a month and had no problems

Take a look at their forum before deciding to join. There are a lot of "limits, restrictions, traffic management" etc to these new products.

I used to be with PlusNet for years. They used to heavily shape traffic like bit torrent. I moved to o2 and they are superb.

here are some plusnet reviews http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_details.php?isp=1

when I put my details into their site: "Your broadband subscription will be £11.99 a month for the first 3 months, then £19.99 a month thereafter." Not hot at this price!

People complain all the time about virgin throttling, they are outstanding compared to these

http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/quality_broadband/speed.shtml

Newsgroups and peer to peer 50Kbps between 6 and 10pm and the fastest you ever get is 256Kbps

Might as well go back to dial up!
#22
This offer is OK if you don't mind slow, throttled speeds and using a company that is part of BT.

I left them over 2 years ago, my speeds shot up, and have stayed up.;-)

I've not heard great reviews from this company, so I'll be staying clear!

BT bought Plusnet primarily to get their hands on Plusnet's shaping technology.
