Repost.

Not only that, there have been widespread reports of people receiving either faulty and / or unbranded cards without any PNY logo. And some are reporting it doesn't actually offer class 10 performance. All in all, I think the general consensus is that it's risky - you might get a proper card, you might not.

If it was legit, it would be scorching. But as its not, cold from me.

Was yours unbranded by the way?

Thanks for explaining the temp drop. I really appreciate help with the techy stuff from fellow posters!:D

mine came without a pny logo but performs fine at 13MB/s Write and 21MB/s Read.

My first pny stopped being read by my phone/pc within 2 weeks. the second was just VERY VERY slow, Both were PNY branded. I ended up getting a non branded one from my memory and that was lightening fast in my optimus 2X.

I'd been looking at this but decided that if I get a 16GB I will probably go for the Lexar at £13.99. It's rated class 4 but speed tests seem to indicate it is faster than that.

Yeah. Heard too many people say they are NOT getting PNY cards from Play.
Instead they're getting unbranded ones, that often fail. VERY suspicious. For God's sake, you expect this from dodgy characters on eBay. The poster probably is unaware of this, of course so Im not voting cold, personally.
How they get away with this is beyond me. False advertising, surely.

I got this card about 8 months ago and I have to say it is perfectly fine, not had a single problem with it.
If you receive and unbranded, underperforming or faulty one you have the right to return the product for a refund or replacement as it is not fit for purpose it was bought or - in the case of the unbranding not as advertised

With you on that one. Reckon that could go to Ofcom or wherever quite easily.

I bought one of these just before the deal was posted and it was unbranded. I contacted PNY and they assure me these are genuine, but the first batch did not have the PNY logo on because Play wanted to sell these ASAP. When I tested, speeds were above Class 10.
