Ordered one - cheers

Is it really Class-10?
And probably the 15mb/s is READ speed too?

If the WRITE speed is 15 mb/s then it's BLAZING SCORCHING HOT!

Voted hot anyway :)

Thanks OP - Ordered! :)

That's great that is, been looking to upgrade my 8GB Class 4.
#13
Might sound a silly question, but does the use of an SD adaptor cause any loss in transfer speed?

Good question. Hope someone will answer

As far as I'm aware, the difference in speed is minimal at best, so you should be fine.

Heat - need to replace my 8 gb one

It literally connects the small contacts to bigger contacts - so no way it could slow things down. Its no different from using a mini HDMI to full size HDMI cable, same connectors at each end, just a different size.

genuine class ten?!? I bought a class 4 (ok, sandisk, but still...) for £15.99 a little while back and thought I'd done well.... hot!

Thanks mate that's what I suspected hence "silly" remark.

I've just used the online return, not as described, and requested a branded replacement.

Returning mine. Speed tested on my PC, Samsung GalaxyS and Samsung Tablet. Max Write speed was 8.0 MB/s and Max Read speed was 19.0 MB/s.

I have a Lexar class 4 that gets 7.7 MB/s Write and 12.9 MB/s Read.

In the android market, look for SD Card Speed Test and pick the most popular one. On the Tablet, I used one called SD Tools.
#35
Going for this for my BlackBerry as the 8G I have is only class 6 and definately stutters just that bit with music.

Keep me posted as to what PLAY say about the non-branding.
#36
Mine has arrive unbranded also and the read/write speeds are horrific... not even 4MB/s write

The Class 4 that came with the Vega did better than that

Poor show Play.com

Not what I'm seeing:

Are you sure whatever you're using to read it is capable of class 10 speeds?
#38
I'm getting the same speeds using SD Tools but 8.2 MB/s still isn't class 10. Mine is on its way back for an exchange.
#39
I don't I've ever seen faster write on a Nexus One, even "better brand" class 10's, so it might be the phone rather than the card. I'm not writing it off yet.
#40
Tested on a standard USB card reader as well using bench32 with similar results. My 'class 2' Sandisk however reaches 11 MB/s write. I should probably have just gone with the Sandisk or Lexar class 4 16gb cards and saved a few pounds. There's a good possibility they'd have been decent speeds and probably no worse.
