I was tempted by this but lower down it says-

High storage capacity (16GB) for storing essential digital content such as high quality photos, videos, music and more (Class 2)

usually these get posted as class 4 and they turn out to mention class 2 elsewhere leading to unhappy chappies.
sometimes its bit of luck but not worth the risk.
7dayshop has class 4 16gb for 15.99 http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=106003
may not be much faster than the sandisk as they are pretty fast even though class 2 rated.

Surely if it is advertised as class 4 then it must be. I ordered the unbranded "Toshiba" card from 7 days shop on Friday and got an email to this morning to say they are out of stock so will probably go for this instead.
#5
It's annoying when you buy class 4 and they send unbranded stuff with no class rating.
#6
If it's class 2, then you could just trade it in for effectively a full refund at cex:

Play sent me a class 2 card when they clearly advertised a class 4. A quick phone call got them to send out the correct card and I then returned the class 2 card (they paid £1.40 postage so I even made a few pennies on that).

I ordered the Class 4 Play card. They sent a Class 2 card - but Royal Mail took 2 weeks to bother to deliver that wrong one! Then Play said they were replacing it IMMEDIATELY but in reality they waited another 10 days for my returned Class 2 wrong delivery to reach them and only THEN did they despatch the right Class 4 - which to add insult to injury was 50p cheaper by then!. So it took a MONTH for me to get the right product. I moaned but they didnt even have courtesy to respond. So I'm afraid Play.com have moved a long way down my preferred providers list now.

At least if one orders Class 4 you should INSIST on getting a Class 4 and my advice would be DO NOT ASK FOR A REPLACEMENT - just reject the wrong delivery & in parallel decide what/where to order afresh - it might mean it's 1-2-3 weeks faster in getting what you REALLY ordered in the first place!

7dayshop also have a Danelec 16GB class 4 one at the same price.

Out of the two of them though i'd buy the PNY.

ordered a class 4, they sent a class 2. Now got to waste my time sorting out there problem, and wait another xx days to get what I ordered.

Play are best avoided unless its a deal not to miss. They also seem to think that its ok to only give 28 days warranty on their products. I asked to have this in writing and she went off and came back saying that they would replace my item. They seem to try an wriggle out of any warranty obligations.

I have just received mine and it is definately Class 4. Works a treat on my new tablet. Very pleased.
#13
Ordered. Let's hope they send a class 4 one this time.
#14
They sent me a Class 2 as well :(
Online returns process seems good, you print off your label and use the original packaging (depending on how eager you were to open it!)
Lets see how long it takes to get the correct one...
#15
well, lets put it this way, they are now trying for a 3rd time to send me a class 4. I'll keep this up for as long as it takes. About a 4 day turnaround on each card.
#16
Sent me a class 2 again!.
#17
use it for the moment then send it back after you receive the new one (so you always have one in use). costs them money every time you do, plus if you print off the postage label you make £1.40 as they also refund the postage costs.
Complaining to jerseys trading standards will get you no-where, so the only way they're going to learn is if people don't accept this sort of service.
Posting comments on there website giving them 1 star also don't get used.

And yet another class 2 arrives this morning. 3rd time they've done this now, even though I phoned them and asked specifically for a class 4 to be sent.
Play are a waste of space.
#19
My 2nd replacement is on the way. Let's see if they get it right this time.
#20
Another class 2. No more memory cards from Play.com.
#21
Sounds like it's not even worth a punt then and I'll have more luck with National Lottery...Cold from me - good price but pants Play.com service
#22
A couple of reviews on play say that although they're marked as Class 2, their performance is more like that of a Class 6 card. When play deliver the replacement card, and when it turns out to be another Class 2 card, I'll test the speed out first and post the results back here.

Class 2 again. 8.5MB write speed initially, so was promising. Deleted all the files and tried a second time. This time 3.4MB. Disappointing.
