and 2 of those would cost........£28 so 1 single 16gb for £24.99 is much better isn't it?

Nice one OP!
I've been keeping an eye on the 16gb cards for a long time, hoping for a price drop. This is the cheapest I've ever seen them, by a long shot!
Only class 2, but that should be perfectly fine for the kids' TT cards.

Heat & rep added.

Show me them cheaper somewhere else. Anywhere else.
I know two 8gb cards is cheaper than a 16gb, but that's not much help if you want a 16gb. They're £38-£40 or more everywhere...

Ordered one for my 8gb MP3 player will give me 24gb capacity!!!

Should hopefully get around £5 for my 4gb one.
#21
How do they get 16 gigabytes onto that tiny thing? It must be some kind of witchcraft, surely.

Make sure the MP3 player can handle it! I once used a 16GB card in a phone, only to realise the maximum capacity it can handle is 8GB!

It's a scandisk fuze which only cost me £35 for for the 8gb + 4gb version.

So it has now cost me £60 overall for a 24gb MP3 player :-D

Minus whatever I get for the 4gb card obviously

Well, unless your phone/mp3 player has two micro sd slots having two cards is kinda pointless.

If you want to increase memory by 16GB you have to buy a 16GB card, buying two 8GB cards won't help.

So unless there's a 16GB card cheaper somewhere, this is a hot deal.

Not a bad price, but not really relevant to this deal. There different sized memory cards altogether.

This is a great deal, and those that are saying it isn't or it's merely so-so, are mad! Tell me where else you can get a 16gb Micro SDHC for £24.99? Saying yuou can get x2 for less than the price of this 1 card, is like saying, you can get two cars for the price of that bus! It makes no sense. Two of these in a pro duo adapter for your PSP would be fantastic! :w00t:

You don't understand. 2 x 8gb is NOT practical! These sized cards are used in mobile phones and mp3 players and it would be incredibly annoying AND inconvenient to keep changing memory cards when ever you wanted to listen to a different song because; The memory card is usualy hidden inside the case of the phone with the newer and future phones like my HTC Hero. But what you're saying is that I should remove the protective gel case and the back of the phone every time I want to listen to a song thats on the other memory card? I and most other people would rather not bother at all than have this hassle. Especially if you play the music on random and you end up having to swap memory cards every 3 minutes! And my HTC hero takes about 1 to 2 minutes to start up anyway to switch it back on! And the clasp on the back of my phone is not the strongest anyway, it feels like one frantic pull on it would weaken it or snap it. Which is what would possibly happen with taken it off and putting it on 20 times a day with your method.

Why don't you buy 4x 2gb cards for yourself? It would be even cheaper!! Can't you see... its inpractical and inconvenient!

I've been waiting for a deal like this for ages as they are £30-£40 on ebay and then theres the risk of them being fake! This has arrived perfect in time for xmas!

Awesome! Been on the lookout for one of these for my new Motorola Milestone (Droid). H & R.

Are you sure? The 5800 is designed to work with micro SDHC up to 16GB and this is class 2 so should work fine!

I was planning on getting this with my 5530 (which is basically the same as the 5800 except has no GPS and isn't 3G) but have my doubts now.

I was just about to ask the same question. Also does it really matter that its a class 2? The card already in the 5800 is also a 2 but I'm thinking about replacing it with a 8gb class 4. Until I saw this deal, now I'm wondering if I should get this instead.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Is this the memory I need for my Lumix TZ7?
#38
class2 is rather slow so not good for making a flash drive, good value for the size though where speed doesn't matter.

No, the tz7 takes standard size SD, and you really need a class 4 one anyway.

Wonder what memory prices will be after xmas...
