I've been getting a bit disheartened the last few weeks. Everyone seems to have found the site, and voting negative simply because they dont like the product. I had one guy vote negative on a Gok Wan book because he hated him, nowt to do with the price :( Seems like we get shot down just for listing something that maybe a slightly smaller audience would want.....

I just posted a deal on the new Guitar Hero on the Wii, with guitar, cheaper than everywhere by at least a fiver, yet it is sitting at -11, work that out :?

Thanks big boy. (why does that sound wrong coming from a man?) :-D

Wish it was the Micro sd at this price.

And yes, does seem strange that everyone votes cold. Probably because they don't have a use for it. :?
#6
Well, then should they be voting?
BTW, rep added for post.

Things that are bargains are voted cold because people wouldn't spend £50 on a pair of jeans, or whatever, when there are jeans out there that are a tenner. Not the same jeans, just jeans.

"why would you spend £100 on heaphones!", then voted cold. £100 is maybe a lot to spend on headphones, but if you're an enthusiast then there's no reason you wouldn't want a decent pair. Many people would think nothing of spending £100 a month on 4 headaches.

Find 4p tins of mispriced beans though, and the temperature will go through the roof. It also seems pretty cliquey, and pretty unwelcoming to new posters.

Here is something I found on moneysavingexpert and I do have to agree at times!

i am voting cold as it has been posted before (i am not bothered with 70p saving)
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/253548/pny-16gb-sd-hc-memory-card-17-99-de/
and also because it is class 4 and you can get a faster class 6 for a £1 more
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/254679/transcend-secure-digital-card-sdhc-/
#9
And that is why people are p****d off on here - if you aren't worried about saving 70p (and can't work out it is 85p cheaper) don't look at items valued under 20 quid As for the second comment - vote the deal not the product.

Odd, Play describe the PNY card as Class 4 yet quote min speed as 6MB/sec - doesn't that make it Class 6? :?

Guess they've probably just mixed the spec's up.

MSE is indeed ridiculously cliquey with certain members there able to abuse with impunity other members.

Well avoided if you've got any sense.

Let's hope this place doesn't go the same way......

That's just, like, your opinion man.

I think that's quite a simplistic way of voting. I'm of the opinion that anyone should vote how they please, for whatever reason they please. There's no guidelines stipulating how people should vote, or how they should use this site. You may disagree with their reasoning, and by all means voice your opposition, debate can be very healthy. But nobody has the right to tell other people by what criteria they should vote by.

Some people seem to vote cold on everything as soon as it's posted. And yes, they're probably idiots. But if a deal is genuinely good then, to use a cliche, class will out, and subsequent heat will be added.

Has anyone recieved theres to confirm whether it is a class 4 or class 6 card?
also just to put it out there,on the pny site they value the 16gb clas 4 card at $99.99 and the 32gb card at $149.99,so i wonder if play will soon be selling 32gb cards for around £25 ish as opposed to £65

A late post, but I only received my PNY card today. The card itself has no external indication whether it is class 4 or 6, but from the piccy below results are clear.

I am amazed at the write speed. This is one of the fastest Class 6 cards money can buy. Perhaps they should have named it Class Sixteen:).
