According to the comments gives 14 MB/s read and 8+MB/s write speed so a great deal for that price!

Huge part of this is the weakness of the pound.

Really, I can't believe i missed out on those prices.

I remember these 16gb micro sd cards costing around £30+ in the early part of 2009.

Damn, you really do lose when you snooze on hotukdeals.

It was definitely true for the bigger brother SDHC cards (Standard size), that was more the normal price rather than a deal.

You can but you'll need a 'Micro SD Card Adapter' as the DSi XL only takes a standard SD card.
The Micro SD Card slots into the adapter in order to be used in a standard SD card slot. If you particularly want the PNY memory card from Play.com you can buy adapters elsewhere.

Here's an example of an adapter.
http://s2.static.mymemory.co.uk/images/product_shots/1522_1203974100.jpg
And that adapter is available from here: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Micro-SD/MyMemory/MyMemory-Micro-SD-to-SD-Card-Adaptor

And here's a cheaper option: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lexar-MicroSD-to-SD-Adapter/dp/B001BUWXMQ

And cheaper still: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=101195

You may get one even cheaper from dealextreme but you'll have to wait about 2 weeks for delivery.

Hope that helps.

I can't understand why, when someone posts an offer for, say, waterproof clothing, there are often complaints that the item is being advertised without a full specification (and hence must be of poor quality). Yet this memory card, with no specification provided, gets no flak. Admittedly there are some user comments, but they are hardly a substitute for a clear statement by Play of at least Class rating.

Yeah thats doin my head in too, must be nearly a year at around the £30 mark, I thought we might see a drop when the 32gb came onto the market, but no such luck
#21
They are the ones I bought in Jan, and I can confirm they are Class 4.
#22
Blasphemous, there are a lot cheaper adaptors from eBay. Personally I bought two at a price bellow 20 p each and that included the postage. It really took them about a month to come but still it was a great deal and I wasn't in desperate need for them.
#23
Cool, fast enough for my Mini DV camera

DSi always has.

for class you get either 2 or 4 - neither are stated as it varies
alot of heat for 50p off a 2 month old price but good nonetheless

dont rememeber them that cheap but all memory (not brand new released) has stayed same or gone up a bit by looks of things.

edit: seems now they state class 4 so if you get class 2 you can be annoyed with them :)

Quidco tracked & validated at 35p :w00t:

I believe most imported electronics are priced as US$ and the pound has weakened 8.5% since 1 Jan 2010 against the dollar. So if you like for a £10 item it is £1 cheaper.
#32
This will fit into my sansa clip+, correct?

It will fit into the clip+ - whether it works is another thing.

The clip+ can be fussy as to what it reads.

Anyone advise if this PNY card works with the clip+.

Received my order from Play this morning (finally !!!!!)

Says on the invoice "PNY 8GB Micro SD Memory Card (Class 4)

I actually received a SD (the big one !!!) Card 2GB + USB SD Card Reader

Rather fuming as I've been waiting in all morning for this and really wanted this for my Nokia Phone for the weekend - going to have to wait probably another week now :(

For a first experience of ordering from Play.com its rather a poor one :(

A further PITA, the website doesn't seem to work for starting the returns process... what red button???
