Great price. Thanks

nice, bout due for a new one.

Dont buy this, Amazon's Cruzer is slightly expensive but worth the money for the builtin software in it. Great security and portability tools for security and safety concious people. sorry I cannot attach a direct link, but I bought a few weeks and the software is great. speed is ok.
#5
I only just bought the 8GB one for £12.99 last week :(
#6
was going to buy the freecom 8gb databar for £10, but amazon have not done a vat drop on it, will get this or something similar soon

Quidco is 0.5% for PC and Electronics sales, 4% for "other products". Would be interesting to see what value tracks....

How much more cheaper can this flash drive go?

Might just wait after Christmas before purchasing one.

I bought the 16GB Cruzer last week and lost it about 4 days ago. Silly thing fell off my set of keys :(

So cheers for this, hot.
#12
hot :)
#13
Hmmm. nice price but can it be attached to a keyring?
#14
I would guess so but from the post 3 above would you want to???
#15
Can you format this NTFS?
#16
To be fair, the little ring on the Cruzer was really flimsy and I was a tad drunk that fateful night so it might have just been my fault.

I wouldn't advise it though, unless this one comes with a more sturdy keyring attachment.

Sure, no reason why you couldn't.

#21
i have the 2GB version... the sling design is not my favourite.. but it works great and fast
hot? sure
#22
Would like the write speed to be a little faster, but its still hot none the less.

One of the reviews says it doesn't work on his PS3 or xbox 360, has anyone else got it to work on these?
#24
I did buy one of these and it is not for carrying about! It is very bulky compared to a few of the others around. Works fine but if you are putting on your keyring or in your pocket have a look at one first. I wasted the money and now it sits at home in case I need to transfer stuff around there...
#25
i paid nearly that much for an 8GB voted hot
#26
Bought this one last time it was on for £15.99. Great memory stick.

It will work on the 360 and ps3. It just needs to be formatted fat32.
#28
Just bought another. Bet it will be £13.99 next week :)
#29
I want a 16GB Optima for this price - I'm an old man and haven't time to wait for the Premium's read/write..
#30
Bought one of these a while ago.
I got very slow write speads using OSX (almost unuseable).
As others have said bit bulky.
Would personally go for another manafacturer next time.

Haha, luckily, or perhaps unluckily, it was so new I hadn't even gotten round to putting anything on it.

I disagree, I bought a Cruzer and found it to be very slow. When I found out that others with the same problem had improved the speed by removing the software, I did the same. I used the makers online software removal tool only to find that the Cruzer didn't work at all afterwards. It has now been replaced by a drive that has no pre-installed software The new one is fast and it works well.

This is a £2 drop from £17 which i bought it for as a gift in October. It does have loopping bit to add your own ring to then add to your keys but it. You cant use a standard key ring youl need to get a smaller one which then you can add to your larger key ring, i think the idea is to use it for a lanyard.
#34
i got one when it was £17 and it's fine. the only thing is my 8gig play stick works with win2k but this doesnt (tried formatting fat32 and ntfs and on two pcs running win2k and mucking about with drivers and still wont work). it is slow, but what do you expect for the money

i'm actually looking for another cheap 16gig stick around the same price, but different brand, in case i can get it to work with win2k. it's a shame this didn't work as it's quite a solid build and well protected the way it turns round
