I no!
Its the kind of Price you find on Ebay for a Second hand one but this is brand new!
Think i might have to go back and order a spare...
#3
Hot! !

Nice price. Anyone got one - is it loud? Be perfect for media centre pc if not.
rjwells2001 did you go a bit crazy with the tags? :w00t:

Anyone know if it'll be easily compatible/changeable, or a better option than the one supplied with this current hot deal from Dell?

great for the price, though not really suitable for gaming. But at this price, who cares?! I guess it's ok for media to play dvd on a small screen (not enough mb for a large one)
#7
Looks like a bargain. Is it fanless?
#8
Could I ask is this better than my current ATI X1300? It's an ATI X1300 512 MB.

Quick Google suggests you may be better off with the X1300...

This is a Pretty basic video card so unless you play really old games don't buy it for gaming since it will struggle to cope with any of the latest games. (i.e you might just about manage 800x600 low if your lucky)

That said for an upgrade over onboard video or just for building a system that's going to be used for surfing the internet/media playback its a fantastic buy.

Voted Hot for that reason.

This deal needs more tags! :giggle:

not sure why all thos tags are there, you can't play games on this card, it's just a basic card for vista use.

thanks

the other 7300 PNY cards are not, so I'm guessing it has a fan.

Purchasing one right now... another of those hotukdeals you don't know you need til you spot it!

Even a 30” high resolution screen in 32 bit colour only requires 16MB to display its image. 128MB is fine for DVD playback.
#17
You get what you pay for, the "le" means it's the weakest of the weak. But as some one already stated, tis a good back up card.
#18
It it worth upgrading from an Intel GMA X3000 to this?
#19
This is a great card using it with fear runs smoothly with medium settings
#20
Good price, but for an extra tenner you could get a directX10 ready one, and slightly faster:

Still, £20 for any kind of graphics card you can't argue with! Voted hot.

Is this any better than a standard 6600? It came in a PCWorld machine a few years back so I doubt it's a top of the line 6600...

Or for the extra £12 would the 8400GS be a better buy?

I stand corrected, I'm using a 32mb card and it plays dvd fine

The 6600 and the 7300 are probably around the same, the 8400 maybe a little better.... depends on the clock speeds of them and everything really.

A 6600 would beat this 7300 LE

The 6600 came with an Advent T11:
PCI Express
Memory Interface: 128-bit
Memory Bandwidth: 16.0 GB/sec.
Fill Rate (texels/sec.): 4.0 billion
Vertices per Second: 375 million
Memory Data Rate: 1000 MHz
Pixels per Clock (peak): 8
RAMDACs: 400 MHz

Are there any other alternatives (I don't care about DX10, as I don't play games on the PC much)? I just need a cheap upgrade of the card I've got :) I've never had an ATi card so I'm unsure which cards are equivalent to the nVidia cards.

Its annoying really as if you search for samsung this will come up in your results
#28
This is not really a Vista card, it's not Dx10 compatible. It's not a bad price for a cheap card - and it has a digital connector instead of a 9-pin VGA out so it'll work with a lot opf flat-screen TVs. Unfortunately all of the pictures I can find are of the box and teh specs I find don't say passively cooled or fanless so I'd say it's not fanless and so not so good for a media centre PC. Perfectly find for old games and the internet and word-processing. Just don't go running Bioshock on it.
#29
Stay far away from this graphics card if you plan on 3D gaming with it because it is NOT a gaming card unless your idea of gaming is playing flash games or very simple 3D games.
#30
if you MUST get a 7300 then get hold of the galaxy version with ddr3 memory and zalman cooler on it. i put it in to test in my pc ... even tho i had a ati 1800xt i kept it in the mach as it was very good and took up about 2rds less space in my case lol ... my ati card is now my spare ( even tho its miles better ) .

Are we not getting away from the point here, most people will know that this card will not be able to satisfy the heavy gamer but at the end of the day is this graphics card worth £17.99 delivered ????????
#32
That'll make a nice PCI-e backup card. Many thanks, brilliant deal, heat added!

rubbish card, good price anyway i guess
#34
Would I be able to use this card in my PC, Acer T120E

yes, but it's not that amazing. If you want a budget card for non-gaming use, it's excellent, but there are other non-gaming cards for this price point.

In other words, if you don't need

(a) a graphics card to support Vista Aero
(b) need it now

don't buy it

Because there are plenty more budget cards around to do this job, and a passively cooled one might be better, and if you don't need it now, buy one when you do, because you're not going to lose out by not buying this one.

If you don't play games, why do you want to upgrade? What's your usage scenario that needs an upgrade?
#37
What is the value of this card, in terms of use, then? I don't use my pc for games, and Im not aware of any restricitions imposed by just having an integrated graphics card. What will this do for me that my integrated card (probably only 32mb) won't?

Would a pci express card be compatible with my Trinity i845GL mobo?

Thanks. Good price for a card. Just not sure why I'd want it.

Well I play Civ IV and Diablo 2 sometimes and having the ability to play games (at a decent setting) would be good. I'm thinking of building a new PC for video recording/editing (Sweetspot Video Card...).

This card will help you, especially if you are using on-board or integrated graphics (as it will take load off of your system memory and CPU). I had an old X600 which ran CivIV well, this 7300 will do the job. You will need a PCI-E card slot for your vid card on your motherboard though (not AGP).
