I think this is another bait and switch one like the V300 so I wouldn't trust reviews. Kinda explains why they're both being sold for cheap.

Well it's not cold because it's actually available now, today

The word is should but he didn't so are you going to sell him one for that price? If not, STFU with your troll-case comment and say something useful.

Good deal, heat from me.

Think about reliability before you buy this. If you do, make sure you save important data on another drive (as well as making a backup and a backup of the backup).

I've said something useful!

First I've heard of that. The article says a different controller was used but doesn't show us any benchies. Will keep an ear open in this direction.

Need benchies.

The vast majority of the people on here post sensible comments.

But there is an element whose lives are simply pointless are are wasting decent oxygen that the rest could use more usefully.

Wow, that was quick I didn't even manage to reserve or pick one up for myself :(
You might want to phone up your local Currys and ask if they have any left

I could fill a 1tb in an hour. How fast you can fill it is irrelevant it's big enough for an OS drive no problem.

I think you've missed the point. This is a budget SSD. As long as they meet their published numbers and don't have a JMF602 style problem the actual performance doesn't matter. It takes a huge jump to make a noticeable difference, far bigger than the gap between SSDs, so these drives aren't being sold on their performance.

Yes, sending units out to reviewers whose previous SSDs articles had focused on performance, presumably without stating the facts bluntly, was a mistake on their part - but never assign to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Your missing the point, your pc is only as fast as it's slowest component, yes run the os off an ssd, but your still running games etc off a hdd, so it won't be as fast as it could be, yes it may seem quicker but that's why I have a 500gb pro ssd for my os, then another pro ssd for a games drive, the speeds are crazy, a lot more than when I had the games on a standard hdd,
And to the point of this ssd in question it's a cheap ssd ok but not the best, pay a little more and you will see the benefits.

I doubt it was a mistake, it seems like calculated cost cutting. The 'numbers' are so deliberately obfuscated these days that it's very easy for companies to claim they perform up to what is usually their own benchmarks.
