I have the Ikea PO?G version at home and it is a fantastic chair. My parents were going to also get one so I picked this up after seeing it in my local Asda (Hulme, Manchester).

Seems an excellent punt at £40 but at the sale price of £25 surely can't go wrong!

Hmmm - torn on this one.

They are comfy, but they just totally make your home look "ikea-d" - they are like a stereotypical Ikea item.

Hot on price though, and a good spot!

I'm at work near Hulme now but dont have a car. I imagine this is too heavy to carry for 35mins (especially in this snow!). Might have to see if someone will drive me there.

Good spot

Easy.

If you get tired half way, assemble it and have a rest for 5 minutes.

ok

its not the best thing in the world but £25 what do you want ;-) the wood sturdy enough and the frame is too. The foam is ok and can be removed with the cover but screwing the metal frame to the wood might get a bit fidley if not in the holes, so you might need to mess about with the cream covering till the holes match and screw it in then also it comes with 6 wooden dowel to fill the long wodden planks with the arm rest doesnt say that in the instructions tho just a heads up

Thanks for the advice guys, might get a cab home with it, will only be about £6

I bought one of these in the sales last year. For the money it seems quite a good chair, as mentioned the covers are removable so can be washed if required. There were quite a few of them on the shelf when I was in my local last weekend and I nearly bought another.

The point that I would mention is that the padding foam is rubbish, on the first days use the seat was nice and soft. However after about 10 hours of use you could easily feel the plastic webbing / banding through the base of the chair making it quite uncomfortable on your backside. However you can buy a perfectly sized piece of foam (hence no cutting required from Dunelm about 50 mm thick for around £5. Once stuffed in the base, the chair has been brilliant for the last year.

Before you think it, I only weigh 11st which according to BMI makes me positively light for my height.

This EXACT chair in a non ASDA branded box is 19.99 in JTF warehouses (also in black), and the version with the footstool is £25 there.

If you can get hold of this item for £25 its not bad. I bought five of these chairs from Ikea in August last year and if the cardboard boxes hadn't been collected by the recycle van, they would have gone straight back. The foam is absolutely garbage and I had to have all of mine re-upholstered with a decent foam. They do look alright, nice and modern etc., but literally with a few hours use the cushions look just awful. Oh and by the way , neither of us are heavyweights!

I got what I was told was the last one in Asda Hulme last night after this thread had expired. There may still be some about in specific stores.

Pretty happy with it for £25, might look into getting some better foam tho

They had some there yesterday so still available

OK got mine delivered today. Can anyone give me a clue as to how the headrest part of the cusion fits onto the frame please. Crap instructions and I can't see how the two straps with the velcro on fit and the cusion keeps flopping down.

Should be unexpired as available online again

Please help with my above post somebody
