Excellent price for this powerful graphics card if you've still got an AGP based system like me.

Another Google checkout deal, giving £10 off which works out at £59.88 using super saver delivery option. This card was well in excess of £100 just a couple of weeks ago.

Minimal Quidco discount available too.

See http://www.pointofview-online.com/default2.asp?content_id=212 for full specs at manufacturer website

In your thread you state that your pc is one year old and your ATI 256MB card came in it...judging by that I'd guess your card is a year old and prob a fairly early version (say Radeon X1300 or X1600 at best) and nowhere near this 7600GT performance-wise.

Does depend on the model you've got there for sale though, if it was a X1950PRO then you're looking at it being worth ~£100 :-D

Check ebuyer.com and it'll give you a rough guide on the price. If you're not sure how to work out what graphics card you've got for sale, PM me and tell me your operating system of the PC it's installed in it's pretty straightforward

?? If you can beat this price I'd be interested to hear as it's tempting me to purchase it at this price

Useful page for info if anybody's interested. Tom's Hardware site is a good source of IT info.

Also does a cracking graphics card comparison chart: http://tomshardware.co.uk/graphics/charts.html

e.g. if you wanna compare your current card to a potential purchase such as this one and see the real term (frame rate) potential difference.

Anyone in the know, how much better is the 6600GT to the 6800LE? Ive checked Google but all I could see are countless comparisons of the 8 to 12 pipelines which doesnt really help much.

What sort of performance can i expect with the GT over the LE? Worth £60 updating to the GT from the LE?

edit: some careless typos

Shows not much difference at all between 6800LE and 6600GT and IMHO def not worth a £60 upgrade

Or did you mean the 7600GT compared to the 6800LE??..now that's a different story, 7600GT has almost double core speed and memory clock. That said Tom's Hardware always say it's not worth upgrading unless you are jumping 3 performance tiers... http://tomshardware.co.uk/2007/05/02/the_best_gaming_video_cards_for_the_money_uk/page7.html#summary but I suppose it depends how much you value your gaming

Sorry I read it wrong... I meant the 7600GT vs the 6800LE :-) Appreciate the info youve gave tuckeral. Not a big gamer at all - only play BF2142 and only an hour or two weekly, so I guess it wouldnt be too wise just now.

Plus...Crysis and the other DX10 games look mind-boggling and would need a whole new PC to play them basically - my AMD64 3200 has no chance :P
