I find it really funny pokemon games keep value so much, concidering how many are sold they should be worth a lot less, but I guess people don't sell them, which is also strange because once you finished the game you will never play it again because so many of these are released that the next time you feel like playing pokemon the new one will be out.

The story/walkthrough of the game is only the start of the real adventure. You can complete them in about 8/12 hours. Its about the tournament and team comps afterwards. So plenty of people play the older ones still.

Since I didn't like the original Ruby/Sapphire that much, I didn't find this version much interesting either.

However, because of the amount of legendaries with good IVs and also the DexNav which finds Pokemon with good IVs, there is actually a lot of replay value. Also there is the post-game Mega Rayquaza and Deoxys story. Overall I found X and Y more fun, but I didn't go back to XY because of IVs and also ORAS has 2 sets of breeders for eggs!

Also this month you can download Meloetta for XY and ORAS.
Sun and Moon is out now though, so buy that if you can!
