Switched on this tv and it took several minutes for the picture to develop

It helps if you shake it a few times as the picture is developing.

Got to totally agree. I got the non-smart 50" version for £189 2 years ago on offer. Great deal. Why pay more for a brand?

I'm after a fair priced tv with same aspects and genuinely interested to go and look for this in my 3 locals but please can anyone tell me how good these are? I'm reading reviews and it seems lots of people are complaining tv goes on black screen after a short time for no reason. Seems like a capacitor issue but do not want to get on repairing in such short time. Any thoughts please?

Samsung don't even use Samsung panels ! Sure this is good for the price but viewing angles may be limited and going from a cheap 50" I had before to a mid range named brand 55" is like comparing chalk and cheese. I raved about the cheap screen because I had spent my hard earned money on it at that time, but there really is a difference if you honestly get to the nitty gritty. This is HotUKdeals nevertheless so heat.

Hot. Great deal. I posted about the Series 3 24" Polaroid Smart tv for £89 and it didn't go down very well - because it was a Polaroid, because it wasn't 4k and oh, it was a Polaroid. :D
