Looks hot to me, especially with wi-fi capability:thumbsup:

Can anyone find a review of this? Tried but no luck.

Seems good for the price tho

User guide at: http://www.polaroid.com/service/userguides/ce/pmps/mpu43315b_ug_en.pdf

Nearest to a review seem to be this short item:
http://pmp-world.net/2008/03/20/mpu-43315b_polaroid_freescape-4360_wireless_media_player.html says,

"however, there is no support for DivX codec"

Kind of kills it for me :-(

Reviews not too good really, with poor screen etc.
Flea-bay selling for £60ish.

Would be tempted if screen was better.

amazon clearly states it does, and tbh i would trust the released spec over so maybe specs released a while back.

"The PMP can display these video formats:

Up to 360x240 at 29.97 Frames Per Second
Up to 480x272 at 24 Frames Per Second"

Edit: Although, on second glance, these all appear to have been written without actually using the thing. What the world needs is a search engine that can find reviews of products without any of the ****** shopbot sites turning up in the results. :(

Edit 2: Wow. That thing's enormous.

The USB Cable does not have the ability to
completely power your player under all conditions.
If you plug in the USB Cable, the player will power
on if your battery is sufficiently charged. If you plug
in the USB Cable and the player does not power on,
it may take up to 30 minutes to charge the battery
enough so the player will power on by itself.

Sadly like my HTC phone, even on mains power.

Also note this will have a working hard-drive in it...so don't expect it to last longer than 10-12 months

My Zen started playing up after 12 months...now I can't use it anymore :(

My Zens been going strong now for 4 years!

I also have the Archos PMP as a media player which is a great bit of kit though a bit more expensive. Plays Divx without problems and also output to the TV

My Zen has been working for a few years too with no problem - though my Cowon A2 is my PMP of choice these days - with 10 ours of video playback on 1 charge its an awesome piece of kit. TV output is indeed great and it hasn't found DivX file it didn't like yet!

Can I connect a TV to this and a. output onto the TV b. record from the TV? Had a look at the reviews but wasn't clear.

I assume there's no internet browser built in.

This is a TV out only model so no recording facility like an Archos.
Also beware the references to wi fi - it does not look look this feature extends beyond downloading podcasts and ( Polaroid ) player to player transfers ( no internet browsing ).

Currently being sold on ebay for 50-60 including an AC adapter with 12 months warranty.

I was tempted by the 60gig but the video codec support looks a little limited and with no internet / genuine wi fi I moved on. :)

If there is no dixv / backed bitstream support its no good :(

Think I'll give it a miss too, keep my pennies and look at the Archos.
