Just got mine today from a different deal!

It's really good fun for the kids and me alike! Less than 20p per print is OK. Not cheap, but for impressing your kids mates, it's bang on!!

and several more

(Base, Blah, DVD.co.uk - all same supplier).

Bought one myself from Misco a few weeks ago and ordered another from DVD.co.uk a couple of days ago for a Christmas prezzie. Stocked up on reduced paper from PC World (well out of use by date). Still seems OK though.

I have been to three PC World stores, and none had the paper or even the printer.

I have been to four large Boots stores, and only one had the paper (30 sheet packs), at normal price, but no albums. I haven't found the specific photo album anywhere.

At John Lewis in Kingston, they were selling the printers, 30 packs and 70 packs, at normal price. Their entire stock of 30 sheet packs had an expiry of 8/09. Their stock of 70 sheet pack had an expiry of 01/10. I told them I would buy the 30 sheet packs at a discount, but they only gave me £5 as their best price (down from £6.25), so not worth it. They then removed all the expired paper stock on display and said they would return it to Polaroid. They kept the printers on the shelf (£49), although I very much suspect included paper was also well expired.

All the 30 sheet packs I have seen in different stores, including Boots, had an expiry of 08/09. The 70 sheet packs seen in store had an expiry of 01/10.

I bought a Pogo printer from BenthamLtd on ebay (same as IJTdirect), and it came with 10 sheets of paper. Clearly, the box had been opened. The seller had applied their own label on top of the Polaroid expiry date on the white sealed 10 sheet pack, changing it from 01/10 to 10/10. Either they are in the know from Polaroid that expiry dates were too conservative, or this is just dodgy.

Funnily enough all the paper I bought from PC world - 10 and 30 sheet packs - had an expiry date of 08/09. The 70 pack I bought with the printer has an expiry date of 01/10.

Did a test print on the PC world paper and it seems OK. Not great colours, but I'm assuming that's just the type of print that this item gives. Looks kinda like an old fashioned black and white photo thats been badly hand hand tinted! It'll be OK for my nephews to muck about with though, printing labels and other rubbish.

Polaroid must be selling these things in droves, so I'm hoping they're not going to discontinue producing the paper.

I am yet to see some paper with an expiry date beyond 01/10. It looks like they stopped producing the paper 6 months ago, hence the printer being heavily discounted everywhere.
