Look out with Polaroid, the company went into bankruptcy procedures (chapter 11 in the US) in December, although it's not dead yet it is struggling a bit and gambling on instant film cameras to revive it.

The parent company was being investigated for fraud and caused the problem.

They do, same as Daewoo make cars though, and Wharfedale make speakers, its all branding on chinese mass marketed electronics.

I love one of the reviews on Amazon

"5.0 out of 5 stars Great, 20 Nov 2008

This is a great TV, everything you could want.

The only problem is that it takes ages to change the channel cos you have to pick the whole thing up and shake it and blow on it til the picture clears

;-)"

Not a great TV and not a good retailer, i would avoid both!

Dammit !!!! I bought the LG37LG3000 and the LG42LG7000 in the past couple of months. I really wish i waited for this one. Its worth the price for that lovely remote alone, compared to my two identical ugly LG ones !!!!

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

I'm just sat here looking at the ugly 32lg7000 that is stuck on my desk ;-)

Indeed. CDiscount have it wrong, as pointed out last time http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/287019/polaroid-tlu-04223bu-42-definia-wid/ this TV is

720p

Please edit.

Isn't that a totally different tv?:

C-Discount link goes to: Polaroid TFU-44243BU
Amazon link goes to: Polaroid TLU-04223BU

The tvs have different resolutions, contrasts, response times... (click: see more technical details on the Amazon link)

there site quotes full HD ( the others that quote full hd on there site are 1080p)

also looking at the resoultion i think this is FULL HD 1080p

i think there site made a mistake about 1080i as the resoultion clearly is full hd

good to hear.

does it overscan and can it be disabled if it does? (ie. i dont want part of my Windows desktop to be off the screen)

have you noticed any input lag on games?
