Vincent Ludwig: Cuban?
Frank: No, Dutch-Irish. My father was from Wales.

Jane: Would you like a nightcap?
Frank: No, thank you, I don't wear them.

Superb comedy. The origin of the inferior Naked Gun movies.
#6
A brilliant comedy series but, were there only six episodes? I thought that there were quite a few more. :?
#7

According to the commentary, US audiences weren't sure *when* to laugh as there is no laughter-track and the producers didn't want to add one thus dumbing-down the show. And for that it was cancelled.
Anyone with any intelligence (and a sense of humour) would know exactly where the laughs are.
#15
yep. cancelled far too early as there was no laughter track so American audiences apparently had trouble figuring out which bits were funny. One of the best comedies ever.

Still a bargain (been this price for a long while I think)

For fans yet to buy the accompanying material, its £5 for this set of naked gun films as posted here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/471956/the-naked-gun-complete-dvd-box-set-/

Or you can go full fandom and get Top Secret and Airplane on top too for effectively £2.60 http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/460812/the-nut-case-comedy-boxset-airplane/

Now, if they would have just released a set with Airplane 2 in it, I wouldn't have had to buy The set of both AIrplane films....

Superb. Thanks amibees. :) Have some rep!!

Thanks for the info. Maybe I laughed so much at each episode it made them seem like more. :)

Love the bit where you see the bad guys shooting from behind a bin, then you see Drebbin shooting, then the camera pulls back and they're shooting around the same bin.
