I've got the Brabantia but this seems a decent price for a good size of kitchen bin. * Removable lid. * Carry handle. * Bag clip frame. * Size (H)64, (W)35, (D)35cm. cheer…

Read the 1 star reviews on it, load of rubbish so to speak, better sticking with Brabantia.

There are also many 4 and 5 star reviews...

Does it have a base - I remember a post somewhere about some kitchen bins not having a base to them ?

Otherwise, about the right maximum price for a bin.

just ordered one, got last one from homebase and it only lasted 2 days before the lid wouldnt stay shut! will be in argos monday demanding my money back if this one is as crap.

I had one of these last year and the lid breaks after awhile also its not a tight seal on the lid so the smell of the rubbish comes out of the bin

same as, got 1 last year and within a couple of weeks the catch failed on the lid.
Took the lid back instore for a replacement, and within a couple more weeks that one went too, so got a refund.

Argos stopped selling these about a month ago as I had one that broke also, so got a different one which came with a spare part for the lid, so far its been ok but all these press top bins seem to break quite quickly

There quite a few bad reviews for Brabantia on amazon

I have one of these, got it from argos the other day. Is absolutely fine, dont see what can be wrong with it?
#10
its amazing/embarrasing how hard manufacturers find it to make a bin in 2009.
#11
I have had one of these, not too bad but the lid can be a pain at times :)
#12
You can get replacement catches off ebay which ive used to replace mine think they are about £1.99 inc postage

I bought this bin a year or so back. I definitely wouldn't recommend it despite it having a permanent erection! THE LID!!!

These have problems with the lids. I have tried two and returned them

I've had 2 of these eventually exchanged them for a pedal bin, guy at Argos told me they had had loads of faulty ones returned.:x

All, this is rubbish... we have one and have gone through a couple of lids. Just need to get a Brabantia instead!
