Pop Vending Machines - HALF PRICE on all titles!!!

Was in my local Vue Cinema (Finchley) earlier and took a look at the Pop DVD vending machine and found that it gave you a half price discount on the contents of your basket on ALL titles. For example, Salt was £4.99 on DVD and District 9 was an amazing £4.99 on Blu-ray!

Incredible is all I can say...

**EDIT**

http://pop247.com/ - gives list of where to find machines

Cheers for the comment - edited a bit.

Does it give you free stuff if you unplug it and plug it back in again?

Can't believe this didn't get hotter, came on to post this as I went to York Vue and picked up Inglourious Basterds and Armoured on blu-ray each for 4.99 thanks to the offer. Friend got a few DVDs like the Dara O'Brien one for £2.50 too. Bargains.

Same here, and not for any kudos - it's a good deal! Offer was still on earlier today in the Vue near me and I have also updated the link so folk can find if they have a machine near them. They are not just at Vue cinemas...

Thanks OP picked a few titles for the kids as stocking fillers Xmas eve, finally got round to posting, surprised this didn't get hotter tbh

Picked up another last night in Leeds Light Vue, 2012 on BR for a fiver

DVD vending machines? How bizarre.

I remember using one of these a tech show in london before they rolled them out, good idea but poorly executed; i haven't seen one since...

DVD vending machines? How bizarre.

There all over the place in America, mainly for rental though, and its like only a dollar for a night.

Only 9 machines in the whole of Scotland? Wont vote cold as it's a good deal if you can get it but that's quite shocking.
#12
Voted hot, hardly OP's fault where machines are! Voted because of cheapness of product.
#13
Do you get a physical DVD/BR or some code etc to download a digital copy ? Tried google but the Pop247 is sparse to say the least (demo doesnt play on my PC)

Do they just trust you to take it back the following day after you've paid your dollar?

You've got to use a credit card, so they just charge you if you don't bring it back.

No, we have them in the UK as well. You put your credit card in before taking out the dvd, it'll charge you a dollar/pound a night until you bring it back.

I dont think that website gives a full list, there is one at the back entrance to Fenchurch St Station, and is not on their list...!

Seriously? It's not the op's fault? You're kidding me on aren't you?
Next you'll be telling me he's not to blame for global warming either!

Can I suggest you look for a Zaltar machine?

Voted hot, even though no machines in NI. Just because it doesn't suit you, it is petty to not vote/vote cold.

You can suggest all you like, however pointless it may be. Fortune telling machine indeed lol.

Laughing at the irony of you saying it's petty of me not to vote.

If anyone is planning to get some of these, I would gladly pay a fiver to pick up ANY family titles available, and the P&P to send them to me!

The High Wycombe Empire machine is at £9.99 for most Blu Rays, but the Oxford Kassam Vue is at £2 for everything as posted elsewhere...

Nice find though - always wondered what it was like to actually buy something from a Pop machine - it's like a reverse postbox...

i'm sure there is one of these in the worcester cinema near me but it doesn't say so on the site bit odd
