most portable DVD players cost about the same and tend to have AV in. This monitor is fairly redundant as it has to be connected to a source.

i wanted a monitor to use in a project car, this gives me a couple of inputs (satnav + media system) so works for me :) i shall have a look for the DVD players tho...

Don't trust that 1440 resolution, they count the red green and blue as one pixel each, the resolution is actually 480*234.

just modelled it in CAD, if it was the resolution they say then it would be really long and thin lol!

you must be right, sorry about that. now to raise a complaint...

1440x234 would be an aspec ratio of roughly 55:9. I am using a bit of estimation here, but the width of that screen doesn't look 6x longer that it's height...
If it were to be 16:9 widescreen, 416x234 would be the exact res for that height of pixels. I reckon dijital is spot on

thats where the contrast Ratio comes in, i think this one is around 400:1, which isnt that good.

Customer service is terrible from here, I bought some earphones for my 9 year old daughter and the sent me a penknife by mistake, I contacted them and they said I should just keep the penknife and forget about it as it cost more. Only trouble is she keeps cutting herself when playing with it.

i suggest you find a 9 year old with more than 2 brain cells

Just modelled it in CAD lol!!!

Just used my brain and worked out that if it were the real res it would be Suuuuuper Widescreen!

Decent price tho. I bought similar before, think it was 10" and 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. Either way, it's only just good enough res, this will be quite poor. Depends what you want to use it for though.

lol, i happened to be sat in front of cad all day, so clicking on a rectangle then typing in 0,0 [enter] 1440,234 [enter] was easier :P
