This is a phantom 97p item. There are many on the PC (puk) World website and no matter which town or city you enter, you will not be able to find one in your area. Even if you tried every place in the UK, there would be none in (or in a 25 mile radius either). That is impossible, probability is 1 store in the whole country would have at least 1 available, otherwise it would show as sold out. So don't get too excited when you see anything ending in 97p (like the XBox 360 HD for £27.97)

Not available in Berkshire area

I see that PC World are starting with their old tricks of great offers and no stock - shame this is someones first post but stone cold for me.
#14
none in Hampshire, it would be good to find out if they ever have anyof these items for sale! we should make a point of identifying these sort of fake offers as well show the good ones
#15

DSG issued profit warnings today. No surprise when the retail park store treats it's customers like monkeys to be exploited. Cold as the item simply isn't available.
Good try though OP, keep it up :)

I have just decided to contact my local Trading Standards to pick their brains and I informed them of these 97p items. They state that if what we all suspect is true - that any of the 12 individual item no's I have given them:-

008040 575225
271849 152043
474030 007221
021552 287375
425056 552397
584386 621394

are phantom items with no-one having a realistic opportunity to reserve it, this would be a CRIMINAL offence committed by PCWorld. I have told them there is many more - They will investigate further.

None in Yorkshire, just checked average retail price of this item and it is between £188.71 to £220.00 so i would be surprised if anyone can get one.

#36
I once rang about these - and they don't appear on the website unless there are some in stock (somewhere!).
However, cold and expired from me ...

None in Somerset either.
Complete waste of the cost of the phone call, and time.
Sub zero freezing.

You would think so but had the staff at local do a search for different item in stock for R & C but they couldn't find any in the Uk either.
