Can you ever get a decent picture on these things without plugging in an aerial?

I have had several types of these over the years and no, you cant get a decent pic. In some place the analogue signal is going off this year, going to be obsolete very quickly, hence only £15. :whistling:

.....but at this price, sure someone will make use.......

Going of this year? Depends where you are. Mine is still being broadcast until 2012.

THats why I said "some" my area is November 2008 :-(

Can any one find it on the site, I could use it as a monitor for my wireless camera.

I have a small TV like this same make we take camping but what happens when it all goes digital?

When you are having to go all night without access to a TV and you want to see the match one of these is ideal.

I watched lots of the world cup and the last Olympics on one of these - better than nothing and worth £15 even if you only have two years (but I have 4 left).

There are freeview ones available but I don't know how good they are.

The one I had had a great picture without an external aerial. Good deal as long as you know about the switchover on its way...

Anybody know where it is?

Great, just the thing for my mum for her regular, boring hospital appointments. And there's a blacks not five minutes from my office (Leeds). Hope I get my hands on one :)

i notice the link for the info on the product takes us to the USA casio site. does anyone know if this would work in the USA as well as the UK.
(the USA is way behind in digital switchover as they cant agree on anything)
obviously it would need to be able to show an NTSC picture, so that could be problem number 1, plus i dont know if their tv is in the same freq. range as ours
VHF/CH2-CH13
UHF/CH14-CH69

Just a thought here for anyone considering this deal: knowing when analogue is being switched off in your area isn't going to be helpful if you're going to be watching it when on holiday.
