Portal 2 (PS3) £22.99 @ Game

Title is self-explanatory. Cheapest I can find at the moment. Even cheaper than Amazon who were selling for £25.97!

PC version also cheap: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/portal-2-pc-14-99-game/950268

Apparently, this comes with FREE steam code as well! This sells for around £10 on eBay.

Stingy Tip: Don't forget 4% cashback.
Stingy Tip 2: CEX will buy this for £26 so if you buy more than 1, you can sell the rest for a tidy profit =P
Stingy Tip 3: You will also get 1000 game points - worth £2.50.

Longman240
It's this price on X360 now as well!
- Longman240

EDIT: Xbox 360 version now also £22.99 and instock.

Can't understand why price is dropping so much. This is one of the best games this year.
#3

Heat added
#4
This is going to go scorching hot!!
#5
Dammiit, ordered on Amazon this morning, can't believe the price is dropping on this so rapidly. Extremely HOT!!!

Attempted to use my stingy tip 2 :p

4% quidco!
#8
Great price. Heat added. Still not sure it's going to be my kind of game so a bit hesitant to actually purchase
#9
Couldn't decide between this and PC version... but from what I'm reading online this comes with a code to redeem for a free PC copy! And apparently saves are cross platform via your Steam account... sorted!

I don't understand why people are surprised... New games - buy early, complete, then sell for little loss or wait a few weeks for a price drop. (This is even better, buy, install the free PC version, then sell X) )

Agreed btw, it's a fantastic game - both singleplayer and co-op.
#11
Easily the best game I've ever played (only rented it so far). First one was damn good, but the fact this has multiplayer makes it even better!! As soon as it is sub £20 I'll purchase.
#12
And there's an extra 1000 game points (£2.50) according to the Game site,

I bought mine on release for £35, completed it, and sold the game on amazon for £32 and the steam code on eBay for £20 :)
#14
Ordered thanks :)
#15
Does that actually work or do they block it from the steam end?

Clearly I'm not 'with it'. Can somebody please explain what type of game this is?

Thanks :)

Great game - Single player was good & co op was a blast! I was going to skip this, glad I didn't as I highly recommend it! Well worth £22.99 of anyones money - one of my favourite games of the year so far.

If you were on Crystal Maze it's halfway between a Physical and a Mental game

#21
i take it £22.99 has become the new magical £17.99 price tag then
#22

Buy 6 for £137.94, you also get £5.51 quidco.

Sell 5 at CEX for £130.

Boom, Portal 2 £7.94, or £2.43 after quidco.

and 1380 Game points, which means £2.50 off your next purchase

Rats. Ordered from Amazon this morning.
Their site wont let me cancel even though it wont be shipped for a few days
(I went for free delivery)
#26
Anyone know if this is also the price instore? I know the two don't always match with Game. Got a mate coming round tonight and realised I don't have much in the way of good co-op stuff for the PS3.

That's what I did with the PC version. Ordered from Amazon though, a whole 98p more than Game! ;)

I thought £14.99 was the new £17.99. £22.99 must be the new £24.99
I'm waiting for £17.99 which is new £19.99

Was wondering which version to get, but this is a great deal considering you get the PC version aswell. I'd be a fool to buy the more expensive Xbox version with no PC copy of it :)

The PS3 version is also graphically superior compared to the 360

Ooooh, my fathers day present (hopefully) just keeps getting cheaper! I have now pointed my better half at two price drops today, she'll think I'm nagging :D
#32
Tempted, but from past experience I can't help but think they'd send me a used copy with the Steam code already used.

You'll struggle to sell the steam code for £15-20 you'd also be taking the **** a bit lol as the pc version is £14.99. I've sold 4 on eBay between £7 and £10, which when I bought the games and traded them at a profit is nothing to worry about.

Changed my edit - you better be right lol.

No I just rang up and it is £29.99 in store. I might trade one of my 2 Virtua Tennis 4's (£9.10) each in at game for this and the other at CEX for cash. :p
#36
Lol I sold them in the last few weeks, £7, £8 and £10. I had one sell for £11 but the buyer pulled out as he didn't understand the need for a PS3 and PS3 copy of portal 2 (rented, borrowed, whatever). You get a lot of people watching them so you won't have any trouble selling them, just remember you have to offer to ship the physical card to comply with eBay rules.
#37
Heat added, good price, although i'm holding out for £17.99. Once prices start dropping, they go into freefall with everyone trying to compete.

Saves aren't cross platform unfortunately. If you play on PC/Mac, the Steam achievements don't transfer to PS3 trophies, but it works the other way around.

And remember you need to set up a PSN account that's not already linked to a Steam account and have access to a copy of Portal 2 on PS3 to redeem it!
#39
Wonder how long they will hold this price for. Dunno if to grab it or wait and see what I get trade in on the other games I am waiting on.

I've just got a new graphics card so I want to play it on the PC... but I want trophies so I want to play it on PS3... don't know what to do :P
