Different deal though. This deal - where Portal is available for just 75p extra - is the better deal, in my opinion.

Ohyh, sorry.
I'm looking to get Portal 2 on PS3, steam version would be a bonus.

Yeah, just buy a boxed PS3 version and you get a code inside.
You may be right that it is cheaper, however I do not have a computer powerful enough to run Portal 2, plus the friend I intend to play it with also has a PS3. So getting it on the PS3 is effectively the cheaper option for me, with the Steam code being a bonus for when I do get a shiny new PC.

just on a side note, it wouldn't matter even if you were buying it for PC. The game is cross platform so PC players can play with PS3 players and vice versa :)

Why would you waste precious life on the PS3 version?
Dire controls, no user created content, sub-par graphics.
It doesn't even require good hardware to run better either.

wouldnt say they were sub par, perfectly acceptable as portal is hardly graphically amazing, but agree re: controls

The Source engine can still put the 360/PS3 to shame. Half Life 2, Portal and Left 4 Dead 2 in particular is in a different league.
