Portugal long weekend! For anyone who likes to escape the winter weather, get away for a few days to Portugal in December 2014.

Short holidays like this don't come up very often and the great price of just £59 each includes return flights, a 4 night stay in a 4* Star hotel and car hire for the duration of your stay with airport collection and drop off.
Our example here is based on flights from Bristol on 7th December until 11th December 2014 however do not be be disappointed if this is not your local departure airport or these dates are not convenient to you, there are many flights at great prices from various airports. Use Skyscanner to look for flights from your local airport.

The hotel we have picked out is the 4* Star Quinta Pedra Dos Bicas in the resort of Albufeira which is rated 4/5 on Trip Advisor with many excellent reviews and guests complimenting the great location and friendly staff. It is no surprise that this great hotel has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence Award this year!

The popular resort of Albufeira has many great attractions and we suggest checking out Trip Advisor before you travel to plan your trip. With the use of that car hire we have included in the price you can take advantage and get out and about to explore some of the great sights such as Praia da Falesia which has been described as the best beach in Europe or head for a bit of nightlife and action to Montechoro Strip.

Flights bookable at Easyjet for 4 x Adults = £151.92
4* Star Hotel bookable at Alpharooms = £69.96
Car Hire Bookable at Carrentals = £15.42
TOTAL PRICE FOR 4 X ADULTS = £237.30 (£59.33pp)

Like any mediterranean, warm but won't make you sweat like a pig and wish you'd stayed in air-conditioned hotel room all day long. Off-season is a nice bonus as most places aren't crowded and many places won't have their ripoff summer menu out. On our February car trip around Greece we had very pleasant 15 degrees whole week, you could pick oranges straight off the trees. The only downside is higher chance of rain than in the summer, but still won't be as bad as UK this time of year.

We always visit those places in winter months, nothing feels better than getting on the plane from wet and cold Scotland straight to sunny Sardinia.

Has anyone got experience of pre-booking cheap holiday resort airport transfers in advance, like these : http://www.hopparide.com/ or any others?

I wondered how much cheaper it could be than getting an airport taxi when you arrive.

Hmm not used those before but most transfer companies such as resort hoppa/travel republic etc usually give you a set of options, i.e. shuttle transfer, private transfer etc, you could try googling to try and get an indication of how much taxis usually cost so you can compare prices? There is usually some thread on Trip Advisor with answers to those type of questions xxx

Hi Stacey,
The deals you find are amazing, thanks! I was just wondering if you know any websites that have good deals on spa breaks with treatments?
I usually look at groupon or wowcher but just wanted to know if you know any other good ones.

Thanks much, Sindy.
