You can get family cover for Europe for 36 quid or thereabouts from Esure (and many others) so I've voted cold on this one as it still seems too dear.

Doesn't seem that hot to me. They wanted £78 for me and the good lady wife, and got a better level cover via moneysupermarket for £44

The Post Office deal is for ANNUAL MULTITRIP INSURANCE and if you got a ANNUAL MULTITRIP deal cheaper then that's great and perhaps you should share it with us.

I'm getting the feeling that I have offended you. My apologies if so, no offence intended. Thinking about it a little more, I guess I would say that deals on insurance are extremely subjective as it does tend to be based on each individuals requirements. The deal we did get was annual multi trip worldwide, but even then it was £34 less than going the the insurers web site directly. No sense there then.

No, you didn't offend me.
I maybe thought, from earlier post, that some thought it was for single trip. However, It's great that you got a better deal ( and there usually is one about). I had seen some quotes, including Sainsburys and Tesco asking for £77.

We buy our annual multi trip insurance from the Post Office as they are the only main stream insurer I could find who would insure my son who has a medical condition.

They will cover any medical condition as long as it is managed - ie you haven't had to see a doctor about it other than for regular check ups.

I got fed up of ringing insurers who would give me a quote and then happily say that my son's medical condition wouldn't be covered! What good is that! It is highly unlikely that he will need medical treatment but if he does it could lead to neurosurgery which would cost thousands!

Why isn't medical insurance the same as car insurance - ie. the higher the risk the more you pay?

So well done to The Post Office!!!
