Amazing for the price! 30 piece precision screwdriver set in a handy carry case.

The set is not just limited to Philips and Blade bits, but also include a number rarer but just as important bits such as Torx, Pentalobe (Important to dismantle new iPhon4s - as reported in todays' ZDNet), Hex, Points and one with two points assymetrically opposite each other...

They must have sold quite a few at my local store, as the carton was almost empty.

Will upload photo later!

Any pics of the set?

hahaha today I *really* needed a set of these screwdrivers and I had to pay £5,33 in the local hardware store for the typical 6 piece jewellers screwdriver set.

Yes I saw this last week when I was in. Wish I'd bought it now as I was changing a watch strap this morning and broke the ones I currently have. Hopefully get one next time I'm in. Heat added as I've seen it and it's a great wee set.

sorry for the size of these photos! I will learn for next time....

I 100% disagree with that, Poundland tools do for the little jobs that need to be done, from fixing a pc to getting that shelf up that everyone keeps going on about. Just don't try to build a house with them ..... but most people wouldn't try that so... HOT!!!!!

Agree, just beacause it's a quid doesn't mean it's rubbish, lots of the stuff is bankrupt stock, and was probably being sold elsewhere at a much higher price.
#15
lol, Poundland & precision in the same sentence ! Have to agree though some of their stuff is ideal to use a few times & then chuck away, cheap & cheerful.
#16
Not really a deal tho, it'll always be a pound!

Just kidding, have some heat :D
#17
They don't look very 'precision' to me, certainly small but hardly precision. Might struggle to do glasses etc...

Still, worth a squid...

pound shop (japanese equivalent 100 yen shop) saved my wifes laptop on holiday
after she spilled liquid on her lappy and shorted out nipped over road to get set of screw drivers got back off and dried out laptop job done :)

I'd say it's worth it for the bits alone, which should fit my power screwdriver. Those star screwdriver bits (and the other odd-looking ones) are useful things for getting into places 'some' manufacturers only want their over-charging service technicians to venture!! Good Find! 8)

No pun intended i take it? X)

I've picked up a number of tools from Poundland. Some stuff they sell are definitely duff, but others are really good.

They used to do a contour guide for cutting things around skirting / coving etc. Over £10 at B&Q!
Cold chisel is still going strong as is the small tap wrench; rubber mallet... the list can go on

Had my fingers burnt with the "laser" spirit level - even having low expectations wasn't enough - binned it straight way!

Great price. I paid over £3 each for a couple of Torx screw drivers (for mobile phones etc) and this looks like its got some included.

What an ignorant remark. Poundland is full of brand named products which morons pay well over the odds for in other more "up market" shops because of their inverted snobbery. What the hell such morons are doing on HotUkDeals beats me, since they clearly have more money than sense and would prefer to pay £20 or more for a similar set. Leaves more bargains for the rest of us cannier and wiser shoppers.

The screw will probably undo the screwdriver, lol.

Voted hot, can't go wrong for a quid :)

Rolson top quality?? I dont think so, get a good brand like a dewalt bit set and they will last much much longer. But for occasional/rare use it is a good buy

These sets are great, i use mine all the time - the same thing that i find with poundland though, i go in when i am actually looking for something (another set) and they do not have any anymore.

Surely if this was 95p in Poundland then it would be a bargain?

Something that costs a pound in Poundland is pretty standard, no?

Compared to other places which sell similar items it is a bargain though and therefore a hot deal. These posts are useful for highlighting what products they have in stock at the moment.
#32
Hot - especially asit includes the iPhone screwdriver.
#33
hot - however these have been in poundland for ages its not like they're just in and flying off the shelves :D

Good point except the snobbery you allude to isn't of the 'inverted' variety.

Care to expand with examples or already off to trample over another thread? If you pay a pound you use the tools accordingly and this set is probably handy to have around for little jobs as required.
#36
for the casual dyi job this is perfect, and at a quid, hot. no doubt this would be much more expensive in local shops.
#37
They do look a little bit dangerous though, you could have someones eye out if you threw it at them hard enough...

I've used this set and its a great little set. The bits are a non standard smaller size so you are dependant on the main handle lasting but the quality is surprisingly good. £1 is an absolute bargain for these but if you break the handle the set is useless and you'll have to splash out another £1 for another set! This is definitely at the high end of poundland tools and definitely fit for purpose.
