Went to Poundland and picked this up, thought it was a very good deal. Seems to hold a lot of stuff but it being a pound i'm not sure how long it will last

Voted cold. Bought one last week to use on a day trip and it lasted for an hour. But for 55 of those minutes it was on my knee.

It depends on what you use it for, the build quality is not great but for a pound it is good value. . I have had mine for a few days and have been using it to carry books in and it has lasted quite well

Cheap disposable bag? Heat.

seriously would you risk it? you can carry like a banana and an apple otherwise will break?

Just like some Poundland pencils, that are only 3cm filled with graphite/lead, this is another poundland rip-off that's not worth a pound, unless you happen to pickup a random one that has been well made.

Got one of these rucksacks today from Poundland in Bury, it broke while putting it on outside the shop. I turned around went back into the shop and exchanged it for another, tried it on at the checkout and that broke too. A member of staff then went to get another, I asked her to try it on, it also broke so they refunded my £1 saying the batch must be faulty.

Just my opinion - Save your pound !

Good value is something cheap which works, if it breaks as stated by other users it's not of any value. I very much doubt they will refund it once you've left the store and wandered off

Good for leaving on the shelf in poundland.

Being £1 doesn't make it good value or a deal, might as well list everything in the store.

Hang on, £1 sounds pretty good to me. Beats £2, for example.

Anyone know where to find a bargain priced rucksack (for carrying books) that might outlast these?
#15
Mine didn't last a trip. The stitching started coming off and had to use a carry bag to carry my stuff in the end.

wish I'd been there behind in the que to see the multiple fails by Dach.......My young lad used to work there part time during Uni ....and said the amount of stuff that got chucked out for being 'Guff an Duff' as he used to say was unreal......Stick to the sweets ....just check the sell by.......;)

It's about time these sweatshops in third-world countries started improving their quality of workmanship. It's a disgrace that they create such tat and get paid for it.

look on sports direct, they sell a lot of cheap rucksacks that seem to be well made

Same with a lot of deals highly voted on this site, really awful products. "Oh look, it's only a pound, bargain!". It's how poundshops work I suppose.

Just because an item is ridiculously cheap does not make it a hot deal :|

Bought one for the fact that it comes as a little bag...lasted a night before it got royally fu*ked

zip came off and basically meant the bag was useless...not bad for a day, can't expect much for a bag that fits in a pocket

Alright for £1, mines survived fine apart from losing the straps.
My mum's in good health, apart from being dead. May she rest in peace. Isn't a rucsac without straps an ex-rucsac?

Been using mine for 10 years daily.....

Best £1 I have ever spent ;) Take a look at the stitching before buying !

Give me an outside in farmfoods bag any day :p

Like most of pound land stuff - one used only, disposable junk
#26
Voted cold. These are rubbish.

M&S only charge 5p for a large carrier bag. I'm sure that could carry as much as this and it folds up smaller for when it's empty.

£1 10 years ago? With inflation that would be what... £100,000 in today's money?

Mine too came apart at the seam the day I bought it. Best place to get a cheap back pack - car boot sale!

I think primark sell rucksacks for £6 (?), I can't comment on the quality, but I'd imagine they'd be a lot better or halfway decent.
#34
It's amazing how many people will buy something like this for a pound then moan about it when it breaks.
#35
The thing is you can by 20 of these cheap things at a £1 each or just by 1 really good bag for £20.

Oops *buy
