Which one, there are three.

Part of their plan to buy the compilation out. Buy 99p stores, convert them to poundland then close loads of stores. Will be loads going over the next couple of years.

I'd assume week st, the mall store had recently doubled in size.

Brexit devaluation is hurting in now I suppose !! Won't be long before these so called 99p/ pound store will be closed for ever and come back probably with different names.
#6
it is the poundland clearance london road. all staff going to other two branches in the town. according to staff they said 9 stores in the south are closing down.
#7
cheap for general stuff like lenor, colour run sheets, cleaning products, smellies etc. all branded names.at half the price of supermarkets if you can stand going in.

eg. boxes of maltesers, terrys choc orange and toblerones all 75p. loads and loads of stock as sale went on today.

5p xmas stock still there. most crap but ribbon is ribbon and for 5p it is great for crafting and bought santa hats and jute wine bags for 5p too.

are you seriously trying to blame brexit for a commercial buyout plan. You clearly don't understand how business works...

Probably relocating to a smaller town that doesn't have a poundland yet as there is 3 in Maidstone

Nothing to do with Brexit. The taking over of the 99p by Poundland is a bad move for the customer though as there is now less choice and the quality of the goods and service in Poundland has massively gone downhill over the last 1 1/2 years.

Clearly business works on making a profit. The pound is devalued due to Brexit, so the retailers cost of products (mainly produced overseas) has gone up. Reduction in profit margins due to general costs increases (product costs, shop rates, living wage etc) will have an impact on if these 1 pound businesses continue to be viable.
