£1 is brilliant for this Granola, i love it personally, so will hopefully be able to get some in my local tomorrow. ( i missed the Farmfoods deal btw). Many thanks for posting :)

Hehehe, that's cool, its a shame about the demise of its earlier offering mind, lol, but your welcome anyway. :-)

I like these LOTS too!, lol.

Seriously you weigh your batteries ...... It wouldn't have ever occurred to me to do that ever in my life X) I only put mine in the garden yesterday , so will see how they go, but on first use on a cloudy miserable day I was really surprised how bright they were. Might be a different story in a months time though oO
Seriously! I was trying to figure out why the lights only stayed charged for a fortnight in the summer, when I bought them. So, being a former electronics mechanic, I investigated and when I took the batteries out, they seemed light so I weighed them, yes.

And having determined that this was the problem, I contacted the manufacturers and asked them why they didn't use proper batteries. I received no reply but it is possible that given that you say that they have 1.2v 600mAh battery, they actually did actually read my e-mail. The ones I took out said 400mAh but given that much of the weight is the casing, I doubt that very much. They actually feel hollow and it's quite likely that there is only a capacitor inside - tomorrow I may take one apart and see.

I have one of these and it works fine, goes dark it lights up sun comes out it charges.... you may have a faulty one so just take it back. we got solar balls and solar glass bottles and other solar items from poundstretcher and had to take a couple of things back to be replaced but all okay now.

Do they last a year or more?
Hope so , my last ones ( different make ) lasted a few years. These say the batteries will last for approx 18 months and then you can change them if they start to get dimmer.
As I have said previously when these have been posted, the supplied batteries in the ones I bought were rubbish - they weighed about 30% what a normal battery weighs.
I replaced them with normal rechargeable batteries and the charge lasted much longer but they need recharging in a proper battery charger about once per week in the winter and when the weather is grim.

The ones supplied are designed to be low power with a lower rechargeable capacity, they take a good couple of weeks to work properly,

mine started with 2-3 hours per night after 3 weeks, they are running at about 8-10 hours.

I wouldn't use normal rechargeables its just madness to have to remove them and charge them in the house once a week!

Just out of interest did you buy these last year if you have already had them over winter? They now come with a AA Ni-MH 1.2v 600mAh battery included which they say will last at least 18 months of recharging, so guess you could take back for a refund if they failed straight away for you.

This is extortion because they are £1.99 in Farm Foods.
I bought a pack myself the other day, and they're the proper tea bags aswell, not the 'one cup' joke the companies are trying to dupe on the customers. Some one should post the Farmfoods deal.
That is a good price and all the better as you say NOT 1 CUPS.

Iceland were selling 300 typhoo tea bags for £3 when I was in there Saturday, been that price for around a month. And they aren't the ones cup ones
Looks like they're not 1 cup to me:

I am not buying tea bags from pound shops anymore. I Usually buy typhoo (in wilkos, tesco asda etc) as they seem to be the best value and tastes ok. I bought some from 99p store and they tasted like wood. They didnt have the typhoo logo on the bags , i think they were fake.
The pound shops usually sell the 1 cup variety and as other will testify they are terrible.

Our local council provide 6 rolls per year, so this is great if we run out.
Free from our council, delivered every year then collect more from council office if you need extra.
Hot for being the 10 litre size - usually the cheap shops have 5 or 7 litres which are too small for my food waste caddy

Always been this price!
As stuartc73 says, this stuff is seriously awful ... the amount of effort it is to paint fences, you will only have to do it twice. It really is a false economy. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Worst fence treatment I have ever bought. Don't waste your money on this. I put two coats on the fence & a week later it rained and washed parts of this off. Awful stuff.
cheaper than the cruise the missus wants me to take her on.

I was just going to post this deal up.
Got their Jack & Jill wood chairs/table, thought it would be rubbish but it's bloody good!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
http://www.poundstretcher.co.uk/jack-and-jill-bench

This Bistro set is a good buy too. Says retail 99 quid, and I thought 'yeah, in your dreams'. But virtually identical sets elsewhere are 99 quid, some reduced but nothing as low as Poundstretcher. Here is one now reduced to 79 quid. Makes Poundstretcher one a hot deal in my book, so heat added!

I'll bet it's not 'all butter' shortbread, so even at 15p, I wouldn't waste my money. They're just plain biscuits. oO
Clotted cream shortbread are the best.
"what is the meaning of all butter?"
It can't be all butter, It has to contain flour, sugar and butter to make the biscuit, the term "all butter" is just used to make it sound like something special.
Let face it, it's 15p for a box of biscuits, there not M&S biscuits, just something to dunk in your cuppa! :)
'All butter' = all the fat used is butter. As opposed to palm oil, Marge etc.

little tip for most solar lights especially the pound shop ones.
Put some UV stable clear tape over the solar panel and they will last a LOT longer as water always seeps in round the edge and rusts the circuit board. Filling the inside with silicone is also a good tip.
Bang on, ive been using silicone on the poundland, Bm etc solar lights the last few years around the panel edge and they do last a lot longer, good tip.
For 2.99 is worth to check it yourself :)
