This toothpaste is imported and tastes absolutely foul. Left a really strong iron/metal taste in my my mouth. Whatever they use in it, is a completely different recipe to here in the UK.

What they made from?

Wool brushed cotton etc?

Polyester I would guess. I bought some last year. They are kind of warm, but they are really crappy quality. They look worn out after the first wash pretty much.
kirstie2806
Available at all stores but just heads up are poorly made so try to buy ones that are just one colour as end up with loads dangly threads inside socks that then stick in your toes

I do not post on here very often but the these will be ok for another year comment makes me laugh , it is tinned food using the latest canning process in 50 years these will probably still be absolutely safe to eat never mind next year.

I am not surprised it is the vegetable soup that is cheap this was my favourite as a kid but now I cannot stand it as it is far to sweet.

Heat given as it is an exceptional price.

I've seen this for £1.99 at a few places including B&M, Aldi and Home Bargains. The only time I saw it cheaper was Lidl about a year ago when it was £1.24 and I got 5 jars. So £1.99 isn't really an out of the ordinary deal but the best 'market price'.
Yes, you right for B&M, Lidl Aldi and Home Bargains £ 1.99 ordinary price for 300 gram. Deal only about extra 33%

the washing powder does contain perfume

Picked up some of the washing up liquid the other day, couldn't see any sign of the laundry powder though! Scent isn't too bad, smells more like natural lemons than perfume :) thanks op

Me too. :)

The packs I have say made in Thailand. They will have to conform to UK food and medicine standards and the packaging is in English so they were probably made for export back to UK. When I was in Thailand I discovered lots of UK dental brands were much cheeper there - Oral B floss manufactured in Ireland was a quarter of the UK price.
gregmorris21
Definitely Chinese imports but I can live with that

I bought a lot of this, same as any other Colgate, and yes a free toothbrush too. Crazy saving over supermarket prices.

Yeh kill yourself gradually with this granulated sugar!

Wait, people like you actually exist?

Because they don't eat too much granulated sugar?

You've changed the point: you're supporting not eating too much granulated sugar, which is fair enough - everything in moderation.

My point was in response to somewhat bemoaning eating granulated sugar at all, which my response was based on multiple issues with:

1) How does one get from buying sugar on offer to eating too much sugar? If I stock up on something, it doesn't mean I'm going to have too much of it - it just means I'm making the most of an offer or - to put it formally - economising ie. fulfilling the function of this website.

2) Even if the above point wasn't foolproof, what's the need in criticising people who do eat granulated sugar ? I'm pretty sure it's each individual's own prerogative. It might be less ignorant if they tried to justify their reasons rather than making some sweeping statement to try and make themselves out as superior to other people. I must add that I'm not convinced that the statement wasn't the result of some tabloid headline that made the poster feel privy to some select information.

3) The poster says that eating granulated sugar will make you die (it sounds even more ridiculous typing it back). You know what, it's probably right that it's not good for you. You know what's worse for you, though? Worrying. If you're worrying about little things like sugar ending your life, chances are that - in a brilliant twist of irony - your stress levels will raise, something which your heart won't be the biggest fan of, meaning there's a very real (and very documented - sources available upon request) risk that you'd not only die prematurely, but also having lived a very miserable life.

Wouldn't bother posting. When ever you offer a constructive response to claims like this you never get a straight answer back! Long and short of it is due to the internet and articles some people think that sugar is bleached with some poisonous chemical and sugar in general regardless is just poison. All they will say is broaden your mind or you've already been brainwashed and live in blissful ignorance.

Or something like that. :)
