Why waste money on a piece of plastic when you may as well get some real benefit by buying or using your money for some good. For instance donate £4.95 to a charity of your choice and get more reward and 'balance' from the feeling of doing something that does not have false claims or perceptions attached to it

I know lots of people spending an awful lot more than this on the current Loom Band craze, so thought I'd share this.
Plenty of people I see wear them, so why not get them at a knock down price.
Happy debating :)

Hardly the same thing is it? With loom bands you can make, amongst other things your own bracelet.

This is full price, Pewter Holdings was set up in April this year. They have obviously purchased the entire stock of this junk and would be set to make a nice tidy profit if they manage to find 5 millions gullible fools. The T&C's on the website don't comply with the distance selling regs 'All transactions are final and no refunds or exchanges will be accepted'. Surprised this hasn't been spammed yet.

I think the most important part of the wiki:

"By the end of 2011 the company was reported to be on the edge of going out of business having paid out $57m to settle a lawsuit, in the course of which company executives acknowledged that their claims to improve strength and balance were bogus.[7] It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and subsequently failed, but the brand has been transferred to a new company, Power Balance Technologies."

I've got a hologram on my credit card, but it hasn't helped my balance!

It does get a good 5 star review on Amazon

"Ok, for all the sceptics out there - Fact number 1: I have been wearing this thing for the last 20 minutes and I have not fallen over once. Coincidence? I don't think so! Fact number 2: I can now be a pro athlete any time I want. I'm torn between surfing and basketball. Who says you need to be able to swim or be over 4 1/2 feet tall? I'll do what I want. In fact, who wants to be a surfer anyway? Fact number three: this wristband will be my spaceship: with its subtle magnetic fields it will levitate me from the earth, shield me from the cosmic rays and transport me to another world, where I don't have to play pro basketball if I don't want to, and I can fall over when I feel like it. Stop telling me what to do! Screw you all, these things are just so amazing, buy one for each arm, and for your ankles too!"

For £4.95 you could buy 9 rolls of this http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=263779637 You could then protect yourself from alien mind interference for years while you try to figure out what to spend your 9p change on.

And if your hopes are dashed, your stature, such as it is, will stand you (you are standing aren't you) in good stead when you go for a job as a garden gnome.

Bought 4 for each arm and ankle.... I hope the placebo in this is strong.

I don't know why people are bitching. My only issue is that you have to buy two. So many times I've fallen over because I'm wearing a piece of tat on only one hand.

So what does this actually do? I have no idea.

I'd say **** all but the swear filter will iron it out, so nothing.

Strange one this, dosent say what it can do on the website, so assume its a fashion accessory and good for nothing else. Prefer my 4 year old Daughter's home made loom band wristlet.

I'm sure 1 on each limb would have been enough!
